"Naturally I accelerate a little to move away..."
No - naturally you slow down in case there's an impact to lessen the damage.....
Still if he was a tailgating tosser then fair play on the cop thing

if we are honest, most evos are very hard to shake off, i know ! , they are far more powerful, agile, faster and more focused out of the crate than scoobies. that is fact in modern terms and when they were new in 1993/4 ! sorry, but its true !

The Evo may have been better in most aspects compared to my Impreza but I didnt ask for him to drive bumper to bumper with me the next turn off where there were more than one lane was the m/way so we both turned I took my chance so did he the Evo was local so he would also of known that the police sit in wait

I dont think it was a bad thing to do to the evo... He might love high performance saloons but obviously cant observe properly whern driving and so deserves to be pulled.
Gemmas "natural" reaction to being tailed was to gentley accelerate in the 30zone... Surely the natural thing is to gently decellerate? Gently accelerating would be illegal and dunderous?

I have driven an evo 8 and tbh found it a pig day to day, a scooby is a lot easier to live with which is the general consensus by many others too. As far as an evo may win by 2 or 3 car lengths over 1mile circuit whoop it aint worth the hype in my opinion, if you want to be **** about it and say this part that part etc etc then fine but in the real world as far as my experience there aint much between either of them. Many well modded scoobs beat their share of evos and vice versa, its horses for courses at the end of the day.
An evo costs more to run and more to buy, factor that cost onto mods on a scoob and Im sure the difference will be virtually nothing, just ends up being the old my *** is bigger than yours down the pub bragging rights, all pointless, they are both supreme cars we all love, i just love my scoob more than an evo

Not that it's happened to me much but when someone is tailgating me I tend to find that just pressing the brake pedal to the point where the break lights come on but the brakes aren't actually doing anything soon makes them back off me

regardless of the car i hate any muppet sitting on my *** looking for a race, but i tend to ignore them and sooner or later they will bugger off! But, sometimes you can put your foot down, play a touch and i often wave bye, as do they, last one was a motorbiker, who also gave a wave bye.
As for sucking your own C**K i thought this was a public board open for opinions? Both for and against?
I personally wouldnt do something like this, setting someone up for a fall is, imho, a bit below the belt.

You can tell when someone wants to play and when they don't and you can tell if someone behind you is just being a ****.
If the latter was the case, the guy should have known better. IMO he probably saw Gemma, saw a girl (the opposition) in an Impreza (the enemy) and decided to show off.
IMO.
Its happened to me before with newage drivers wanting to teach lowly classic owners a lesson. New design, extra gear etc they forget the extra weight they carry round with them

Playing is playing, and thats fine n dandy in safe conditions. But a***holes driving persistently on your bumper is different, particularly when to race would be stupid ie roads busy/wet etc. Dropping back into third and dumping the clutch out works - you slow quite abruptly but don't show any brakelights. You can watch in the mirror as they stand the car on its bonnet with eyes like saucers and eyebrows above their foreheads. Then they usually back off. You have to be careful with the timing obviously otherwise they end up parked in your boot!
Sensibly of course the best thing is to drive safe and ignore them. Not easy at times though as we all know. Mind you when my kid is in the car with me,turning the other cheek comes naturally - just let them get on with it.
As for luring in to a speed trap. Well its extreme but it depends how much of an a**e the bloke was being. Think you would have to have been in the car with Gemma to judge if it was deserved or not.

This is what I'm saying...tap twice to get the point across. Works 90% of the time for me. The other 10% ( on the motorway) then just try and fly up the inside...That's when I press the other pedal..hard!
