Question

Doesn't that leave an oil stain on the floor of the gym?

Cool

Thats what tow bars are for , drop me an email if you want the offending car towed. The STi needs the exercise.
Or failing that I'll give you hand to get underneath and slacken off the handbrake, either the cables or directly off the drums.

wow. something that my MY00 5dr SPORT is useful for!

it has a low ratio gear box that is rather good at towing parked cars away. the low ratio gearbox makes for some lightening acceleration too. :-) 5th gear revving at 45mph!!!

James,

You say you live in a mews, which is a private road. Surely it can't be that big and you could knock on each door individually. If no-one owns up to owning the car, or knowing the owner then use any of the techniques mentioned above. If the owner ever does return just point them in the direction of the management company responsible for the mews and let them deal with it...that's what you pay them for.

Now, stop being a wimp and go and do something about it

You need a pallet truck (borrow from supermarket or builders) it's a lot easier than a trolley jack . I work in London, if you need a hand give me a shout.

Roll it out the way (sideways that is)

Get it rocking and then after a bit it will just tip (two people should be able to do this)

Once you have your car out roll it back again

Never done that before tho honest govna

Why roll it back again?

If you do tow it away, make sure you tow it so that it's fully clear of your drive. There's no point if you can't easily get out. I'd go for the other side of town, just to be certain.

First, check the reg, contact the police and DVLA and check it's not stolen or abandoned. If not, contact everyone on the street - if they deny knowledge, then get someone to tow it 20ft. Then buy 2 bangers for £50 each and park them at the front and back of the car 2 inches from the bumpers, with the wheels turned to the kerb, and reverse/1st gear selected. Leave a flyer on the windscreen saying "Sorry, my car broke down - if you can't get your vehicle out, call this number xxxx" then write the number of one of those wind-up telephone lines. Sit back with a smug grin thinking of how much more hassle the owner will suffer whilst trying to get *his* car out

James, I have a nice shiny new transit van (just like the one on top gear!) and if youre in west London (Woking way) then I could pop over and tow it out of the way, Its loaded with a trolley jack, skates and a tow rope which will be handy.
any use ?

And as a parting gesture once you've moved the car, put fish skins on the top of the back box, it'll take em weeks to find where that smell is coming from + the skins kinda weld themselves to the metal

Right, this is what i would do..........

get cutting torch and cut the f*****g thing up into pieces and dump in a place that wont concern you neighbours, like the local scrap dealers......or

get my hiab truck, smash the windows, put sling through them, lift onto truck and dispose off in a enviromentally friendly way, like crusher at local scrap dealers....or

get the forklift truck, puncture the doors with the forks, lift it up and dispose of as above....or

I think i`ll get me coat
