Would never go to Wallace again! Smoked my Evo in a horrific uninformed way that was painful (thats putting it mildly!) to watch! Not got a clue, put your car there at your own risk......we did!

Russ and Gavin @ wallace Performance do know their Stuff.....

I used them when i had my Cav and Calibra Turbo, had the ecu, chipped and Mapped.... Top Job..

Would recomend them any day..

Howver I would still prefer to have Andy F map my Scooby.... from everything I have Heard andy is the Best of the Best when it comes to Scooby Mapping..... and I have heard this from other Mappers/Tuners.

I have first hand experience of how shady Wallace Performance are.

Last year I put my car there for a remap and they MELTED my engine. They refused to take any responsibilty.

Put your car their at your own risk.

I was at wp this week for a power run and I have to say the place was overflowing with Evos. I'm talking Evo 8s here aswell, not your cheap Evo 3s. Owners of £15k+ cars aren't going to risk them at some place with an iffy rep.

Russ is a top bloke and a major asset to the place, but IMO for scooby mapping its worth the trek to see Andy F.

Not sure where they picked up their receptionist mind

would not touch them with a bargepole-fitted brakes wrongly to my car and never followed up my return phone calls pitiful,also heard many stories about not very experienced mapping of scoobies -avoid

I give up trying to make my point as 99.9% of this is based on other peoples 2nd, 3rd and 4th hand "stories".
Believe what you will.
We have lots of satisfied customers.
Booked out until the end of July at the moment.

What about your 11k build on an evo 5 which months down the line is still not running worth a ***.

No wonder the place is full of evo's they are all broken and awaiting repair by WP.

The evo and scooby world is a small one, and I hear your decent russ, but dont recall meeting you when I was there, maybe gavin did all this damage I dont know.

Its no fun having your business damaged, but when you guys bring it on yourselves what are customers supposed to do ?

My experience with Gavin was farsical, and fck it, I would never go back now, ive seen and heard enough im out.

G7 OWL you mean? Guy lives round the corner from DuncATR and he sold it as he was sick of it never running right!

I do have to say that whatever damage Gav MAY have caused to Scoobs in the past..............is in the past.

Russ still gives me a cold reception when I go past for R/R meets, etc but I still have no hesitation in recommending him for mates of mine who want REMAPS for EVO's.

He does know his stuff when it comes to remapping EVO's - on that there is no doubt

did a mates gto exhaust and in the process removed all the flexis in exhaust, needless to say didnt last long and added extra strain on the turbos. ask sumiyaki about what they thought of wp work!

needless to say will never touch my car

ps. wallace own scooby had agra rebuild. by **** was the boy that wrote it off had a lucky escape, post through bonnet windscreen and snapped steering wheel in two :-o

Euan_r - thing is M8 that you can't really blame Russ for bad workmanship on the part of the mechanics, you can only blame WP as a company.

He can't watch them 24/7 and we all have to be honest and say that the odd "screwup" will eventually get past him due to the level of work they are (apparently) doing.

In the end, he is "accountable" for the work that WP put out as he is in charge but IT ISN"T RUSS WHO IS DOING THE BAD WORK!

exactly wuz but its those that do the work that a company is judged by. at least the welding was spot on. have seen shocking pics of powerflow from a comany down south.

was out with pal last night and i may have been too kind about wallaces work

welding was poor, smaller diameter than std exhaust size, protection around cat removed, cat relocated so couldnt buy aftermarket cat back system.

I have had enough of all the crap people post when they don't have a clue about the facts. And I am not talking about you specifically.

In the case that you mention, the only real fault was the customers own dump valve that failed. Ask him if you doubt it. Hardly my fault. The car was never returned to us to be repaired anyway. Hardly susprising that we couldn't do anything about it when it's not here.

Anyway, like I said. Slag off whoever you like about whatever you like, just please make an effort to do so based on fact and not 2nd hand sensationalism. I've wasted enough time here.

Got to agree with Russs here, you can't fix it if you don't get it to fix!

As I am sure Russ tells all his customers..............all tuning has an ELEMENT OF RISK. Running 11K worth of mods, no matter how bulletproof you try to make the engine, still has a risk due to component failure, etc.

Andy Forrest for me. I dont like the idea of a remap on a rolling road. Not very realistic.
I'd rather get it done on the road, where the aerodynamics of the scoop are performing under the conditions they are supposed to.
A big fan blowing air at my car???? NAAAAA!!!!!!!
