I've had 2 explorer IIs and both missed 4-8 beats a day (if you mean seconds )

I'll get another rolex one day (i quite fancy a datejust with a leather strap), but they are not accurate.

Sinn make some nice watches. The 903 isn't to my taste and I have no idea what a 386 looks like but you'll be getting good value. I suspect we are going to see some price rises on Sinn products in the near future.

Actually your explorer II beats 8 times per second, so that would be 24 to 64 beats per day.

My sea dweller is currently -1 second a day.

The 903 is better than a Navitimer.

Do you mean a 356?

I have the Tag Heuer 2000 since 2001 same as Turbomatt's although mine not the Chrono. I have always had a thing for the 6000 range though, very nice watch IMO, couldnt afford it at the time though.

Mine:

The 6000:

Used to spend £100 every year on a new watch until I bought my Tag, its lasted really well and going strong. So the way I see it, is its paid me back and its good to have a nice time piece on your wrist too

356 is the Flieger Chrono right? If so it's a very nice watch.

I think the 356 is a beautiful watch. Does yours have a saphire crystal?

It is. Plain black dial, white numbers, lumo hands and batons... altho they do a brown-ish one too I think. Mine is basic with steel back and acrylic crystal... the acrylic scratches easier but it buffs easier too.

I like Sinns.

Acrylic, as above. I can polish an acrylic if it needs it, but not the sapphire... although the saph should need it less.

You don't see all that many chronos with the classic Valjoux 7750 three sub-dial configuration and the day as well as date. I always like my watch to show the day for those mornings when I'm feeling a bit slow...
