Cheers mate I double checked and quite sure it’s not mine, the identity of this one will prob end up on mine though. The add seems dodge and the pics have people looking at the car aswell so the bloke selling it probably don’t even own it just trying to make a quick buck.... same thing prob happened to mine. Appreciate you still looking out for it though 👍👍👍 thanks!!!

Well things haven't really changed since this nightmare started, just waiting to hear if police recovered any more bits.
So I've decided to sell what's left as a rolling project.it's history is immaculate with a folder over 5 inches thick of all the work done over the years. Parts missing include the full engine with all ancillaries and the back seat. If anyone is interested please PM me for full details.

I'm looking for £6000 ONO as is.My history file is over 5" thick. The car includes a virtually brand new 6 speed gearbox and electronic diff (sourced by API,before they went to ****), all of the interior except the rear seat, which includes a full set of defi's with controller, all carpets and original mats.. The wheels are lightweight newly refurbished Atecs in bronze, with brand new Goodyear F1's on nearly new fully adjustable suspension and a set of newly refurbished Brembo Gran Tourismo Calipers, Ferodo DS 2500's and Godspeed discs.I have all the skirts, the original front wings, both front and back bumpers and the morrette headlights. now to the other details
There has been work done to the body which at the front looks good, the engine bay was newly painted and is immaculate. The rear arches have been replaced but don't look quite right.(I have pictures of the process), and good old API as well as stealing my engine also stole my Alcatek ECU.
If you're interested please let me know to arrange a viewing.
my car now
my shiny empty engine bay.
what my car looked like before.

It's quite a distinctive engine with some unusual parts fitted. Maybe P1 Evil would recognise it and the spec. The seller does know what power it was running though so does indicate he knows the history of the engine and it's not from a stolen car.

I'm amazed Simon is still in good health after doing this to so many customers. David was a legend.

The reason he is in good health is probably because he knew his customers and knew that they worked hard for there money and wasn’t worth it to them to go to jail over a few grand.
I won’t ever understand the logic of screwing good customers who are willing to pay over the odds for a good rebuild.
Mist kind of like eating a golden goose for t!!
he will be looking at civil action at best the police really won’t be Intrested I’m quite sure any claims are against the firm and not him to be fair.
so he’ll be walking about with out a care in world
so he’s made a few grand what’s a stolen p1 worth couple of grand tops they were making more then that out of one rebuild on labour!
Crazy horrible turd of world unfortunately
And just from reading the thread you can tell people concerned were good loyal people

just don’t understand it pal the logic off it,
has he just evaporated or have you not bothered looking as then you’d be tempted,
onoy asking as people normally stick what they know and end up setting up again under some one else’s name.
If you don’t mind I don’t understand one part, I run a breakers yard, and I deal with a lot of trade garages speacilists and alike they always get cars just left there, normally when they’ve a huge bill. To legally dispose of them even though there on there property and they’ve the keys it’s a really long process of letters solicitor letters and time.only when time and letters have passed can I go with one of trucks and lift it. Anything less then that is theft the Police do get involved and do want cctv etc. I don’t understand why they haven’t charged the bloke with twoc?? It must be difference forces have different ways of doing things.
it would have genuinly consumed me mate FairPlay to you and mr burns. It would have consumed me ruined my family life ruined my business and I’d be one on charges with out a penny and he’d still get away with it.
Is is there any pictures of your car? A good part of my life is spent going through classifieds trying to buy stuff and there was a p1 down country at the back of some one drive that I tried buying but they wouldn’t sell it. Not saying it was yours but if it happens again I’ll definatly check it Over more

Will do pal and if ever you find it and you need it moving where ever in country back to you. Let me know I’ll go get it got trucks and not bothered about circumstance.
finding a ID for a p1 will be like finding rocking horse crap mate. And no one is going to weigh a p1 in. Buying a ID is hard as you’ve only got to ask the wrong person and your caught.
Unless you own a Landrover in which case you can buy them off eBay .. lol

Well the journey has ended with my much loved Impreza, yesterday I sold it to a great guy who wants to rebuild it, so I couldn’t be any happier that its story continues.
To Simon if you’re reading this

Yes I did mate
Darren wasn't joking when he said there were receipts showing how much it had spent on it. I think £80-90k
Last I heard he had disappeared, even people in the trade haven't heard anything from him. Seems quite a few people were after him.
