probably because 'most' women (in all honesty) have a loewr esteem (with themselves) than most men once they get to their 40's.. a man can be over 40 and look distinguished with his 'flecks of grey hair, whereas a woman going grey is a NO-NO a man with a small 'pod' is deemed ok a woman with muffin tops is a major turn off for most..
It's very true. Some men are just over-confident about themselves. Some right minger males can have very high standards, when it comes to judging woman's looks. They just need to buy a mirror and perform a DIY reality check

My other half is more of the curvy variety, and I do look after myself, am in the gym 4 times per week working hard. but at the end of the day I love my g/f to bits and think she's gorgous, and the bedroom stuff is pretty good too
I've never gone for stick women, a mate of mine does and I can't say i've ever found any of his women attractive, but no doubt he would come on here and say the same about me?

I don't "expect" women to be/maintain a certain size. If I find them attractive, that's all that counts. Hopefully, the reverse is true.
Chronically obese people repel me though, male or female.

I don't like fat folks, sorry, but there is a limit. Some men really can't see their faults and expect their women to be perfect. Sorry guys, you need to look after yourselves too.

To be fair, i've put on a good few pounds since I met my fella but he's got no prob with it, however an ex of mine gave me so much sh*t about putting on a few pounds after having a baby that I contemplated suicide. Why are men so bloody cruel and do they really want a skinny bird?!
Not all men are cruel (as your post proves it).

Not all men OR women are fat due to overeating, lack of exercise, having babbies.. but also medical problems..it's not fair to hold that against them and say things like they repel you!
do you all think of that when you look at over weight people or do you class them all generally as fatties?...

Fat people don't repulse me, LG, you can usually tell who has a problem and who is just, I don't give a stuff. But red_dog was saying about a bit of baby fat. That is nowt.
I just think it's odd how, usually, the most ghastly people are the first to criticise

I've put on 1.5 stone over the past 2 years - and thats just down to the medication I'm taking not what I eat I'm still within the normal range for my height, but I just think we should consider all reasons for chubbyness
I'd happily put up a picture of me but I don't want to keep you up with nightmares

baby bits are good and natural - you've been through a lot in 9mths, and you have something to show for it.. a babby and a tummy.. nothing to be ashamed about and if blokes see it as fat then perhaps they should try going through it

However, "pleasing to eyes" is a man-made (I should say, human-made ) concept that gets seeded into us at very early years of our lives. Hence beauty is beauty and fat is fat Fatty/flabby looks are not generally admired (apart from some African countries). Therefore people try to remain "fit" than "fat". being a bit more on weightier side shouldn't be a problem. But if it gets a bit too much,it does need looking after IMO.

and the "men dont like stick insects" theory is only used by fat women and men with fat partners.
Its like saying women dont like tall men because who wants to date a 7ft giant.....no one, but 6ft 2 is better than ronnie corbet!
Slim women are more attractive than fat women.....now it may be that overly thin women are less attractive than slightly fat women but thats debatable.
