Eeeeh I remember when all this were fields !
Joined in 2001 to find out info on buying a WRX and have had one ever since. I've probably learned more about cars since being on this forum than I have at any other time !

Like a few others, I've been here since day 1 (and possibly a bit before that )
Now on my 4th Impreza. Catalunya, Terzo, bugeye STi Type UK, and now a Spec D (2 months old).
I do recognise most of the names from the "old days". Not sure of the exact join date, as the dates/membership numbers were "mixed up" during one of the software migrations a long time ago!
Chuck - what did you replace the 22B with ?
John

Why'd I sell? Tired of work, doing the knowledge and need space on the drive for a cab...nah thats just the story we told Pat, I just cleared the driveway of quick stuff, so out went the 911 and 22B and all I have is a Disco!
I've been looking at replacements but nothing appeals apart from the RS4, so that's the favourite for now..but not entirely sure I want to spend any more money on cars...been though so many the past few years and the 22 was the only one I really cared about...but she's getting on now and I don't have time to spend pampering her...it's the Motorshow here at Canary Wharf this week though...the Alfa 8C mocks me every time I go downstairs....lucky they're sold out

My profile says 31 October 2000 but the database record must have been reset at some point because I joined to do some "research" prior to purchasing my first WRX back in mid-1999 ... so it must have been late '98 or early '99 ... going on 8 years!
After the WRX I went to an Sti, then Elise 111S, BMW 330, CooperS, and since last month a new VW R32.
Mind you I have a post count average of 0.1 per day, so perhaps not the biggest contributor ...

My Scoobs since 1998:
Catalunya
MY99 PPP
22B UK
MY01 WRX
MY03 UKSTI
MY04 Forester XT
Other Cars in since joined scoobynet:
R reg Escort
1999 Audi S4
2003 Audi S3
2002 Porsche 996 C4S
2005 Porsche boxster 987's'
2005 Porsche 997 C2S cabriolet
2006 LR Disco 3
another 997 C2S cab
and Bikes:
Yam Thundercat
Yam R6
Honda NC35
Honda Africa twin
Suzuki SV600
Kwaka zxr636
After all that I can still confirm the 22B was the most enjoyable motor I have ever owned, if the RB320 wasn't so expensive (relatively) I'd definitely have one, if the Evo interior wasn't so damn shiny I'd have had one of those also, every time I drive one though I am reminded of our old G reg Nissan Micra's cabin..
Cman, car hunting.

Don't repeat that on MLR will you
I think they will do more than just take you off their Xmas card list!!
I have just checked my First post - What fuel to use in Jap spec car. I wonder if that was the most popular first question??
My next post was 'X Reg P1 Breaking' in Mar 2001!!
Its a rare beast to to find breaking now.

Joined Jan 1999 and two weeks later bought a 20k miles late MY97 UK Turbo wagon as scoopynet had tought me I didn't like the earlier ones with the wooly seats. But I knew nothing of how great the uk warranty would be.
And still do, sort of...
That summer I had air-con dealer fitted just before I dropped from the £1500 price! Plus a prodrive quickshift, and some 16-inch sti alloys that I've still left as gold colour.
Then I think I qualify in the mend, don't spend minority here...
I had a new short engine (piston slap when cold), flywheel and clutch and 4 dampers on warranty at about 25k
A year or so later I had powerstation do the bumpsteer correction mod.and fitter a magnex bag box (too loud in-car), then soon put the standard one back on!
I fitted 1999 4-pots and a momo leather wheel.
Since then I've been mostly fitting a good few passenger-side doors to it, care of other road users.
Did family stuff, like having two kids (who have no idea that cornering at 1g or 0-60 in 5 seconds is particularly fast) and had an extension built.
Very recently an STI back-box (a tiny bit too quiet), Scoobysport back box (perfect, unless very occasionally when you have a headache!), Eibach springs, KYB adjustable dampers with a whiteline anti-lift kit, all from Len at Subaru4you.
I just popped my Nurburgring cherry, in the wet, scared myself and am contemplating a 530 bmw, or a ppp 2.5l wrx. I think a non-jdm sti would **** me off and a jdm twin-scroll one would be expensive on insurance, no uk warranty and a potentially long wait for spare parts.
cheers,
Rob.
