Been driving since 1988 and owed...

Red Talbot Horison, Dad bought it for me and my mum as we were both learning to drive at the same time, traded it on for...

Red Lada Samara, engine blew after 45K miles and no oil, traded it in for...

White Toyota Carinna II, also had a a red Mazda 323 for a while at the same time but the steering gave it, scapped the Toyota after I discovered it couldn't fly after skidding off the road and through a fence post into a field.

White Ford Escort 1.3 Cosmopolitan, all the speed of an advancing gaclier, traded it in after 1 year for...

1993 silver impreza 1.6 GL, 2wd as well, my current car have had it since 1998 and it has 118,000+ miles on the clock and will be kept until it falls apart.

Makes great reading so far just goes to show how diverse our selection of cars has been over the years and how people only tend to love their current car

I forgot to mention the Triumph Dolomite Sprint I had in 1979 reading this thread reminded me, a great car 16v head single cam twin SU carbs and an overdrive switch Mine was in Inca yellow but the constant overheating and blown cylinder head gaskets blighted the ownership experience. Come to think of it that was the car which made me buy a Ford Escort XR3 in 1981. Strangely enough I have no photographs of the Dolly Sprint. My ex wife must have them
