Driving since 1990:

1966 Austin Healey Sprite
Mini 850 (so slow it was dangerous)
1979 Fiesta 1300 Sport
1980 1600 GL Cortina
1982 Mk1 XR2 - fully raced rallied n abused, Hi-lift cam, oversize valves, low ratio box, janspeed pipe - Lol! Bought it for 400 quid from a bloke who said it ran sh**e, had got slow and he couldn't afford to fix it. Got it home to find the throttle cable was slack as old knicker elastic so was only opening carb halfway. Then found the horrible noise was a snapped carrier bar for the tappets. One breakers yard, transplant surgery from on an old escort mexico lump, and 20 quid later and it was running like a dream. Felt so fast at the time - I was only 19. Must've looked like such a dick! Still, good smiles per dollar!
1971 MGB GT (Black, wire wheels)
1985 Nova 1.3SR
1986 Mk2 XR2
1998 Cavalier 2.0 CDi
1986 BMW 528i se auto
1987 BMW 325i se
1991 BMW 535i Sport
A series of vans (Astras and a Merc Vito)
1997 Rover 618i
1997 Vectra 2.5CDX
1995 BMW 328i Convertible ('Individual' Model - full factory fitted M kit, power hood etc. Great fun)
And the best till last - 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon

1) 1.3 Ford Fiesta
2) Citroen C2 VTS
3) Subaru Impreza WRX PPP

I'm kinda worried that I've upgraded to the best/fastest I'll ever see so quickly. I always vowed to upgrade in power and speed each time I buy a car... I know there are faster cars than my WRX out there... But there aren't many and the ones that are aren't particularly affordable.

Well we all had to start with the parents car didn't we. Thankfully I've moved on.

I'm only 26, but I don't think I've done too bad. Admittadly I bought a sold alot of cars to make some money when I was in college, but I still owned them.

Nissian Datsun Stanza 1.6
1.3l MK3 Ford Escort
1.6i MK1 Ford Orion
1.6i Ford Escort MK4
MK4 XR3i
MK3 Vauxhall Astra
MK4 XR3i, RS Turbo Conversation.
Then followed 9 Series two Escort RS Turbo's. Bought, done up and sold.
1.6i MK2 Ford Orion
MK1 Mondeo
Toyota MR2 twin Turbo
MK5 Ford Escort Cabriolet
3 MK4 Ford Escort Cabriolets
Ford Serria Sapphire cosworth
MK5 Ford Ecort rs2000
MK6 4x4 Ford Escort RS2000
Subura Impreza WRX Version 2 Jap Import

I've had another 5 cars but I can't think for the life of me what they are. Then on top of that little lot come the Motor bikes, 7 of those.

1. Ford Fiesta 1.0 'Popular'
2. Austin Metro 1.1? 'Studio 2'
3. Renault Clio 1.4 'RT'
4. Renault Clio 1.8 '16v'
5. Austin Maestro 1.6
6. Fiat Tipo 1.4
7. Nissan 200SX 1.8 turbo
8. Renault Clio 1.8 '16v' turbo conversion
9. Subaru Impreza WRX wagon 2.0 turbo

And for the future as a second car - Porsche 911 SC or Mercedes 190 2.5-16 Cosworth. The worrying thing is that in the last ten years or so I've been trying to go up in power each time, from the 100's into the 200's and now with my wagon I'm into the 300's just about. So next time out it's got to be something in the 400's, or close enough. I wouldn't mind going back to a high powered NA car, something like an M5.
