After looking at the photo ...I have dog(rottwieler cross ridgeback)at home that often hunts out hedgehogs, he opens them up with his claws bites their exposed belly. He has never got covered in pines. He also hunts bull terriers like the one in the picture ,he picks up and waddles( 8 1/2 stone(fat get)) off with them thinking there his toys...Mans best friend...

I mean....poor defenceless porcupine beats up evil doggie..
Just shows how aggressive those suckers are...bite after painful bit it just kept going. Doggie must have been on acid or something

That's not actually a pitbull, it's a bull terrier, by the shape of it's head, longer with a pointed snout.
The porcupine is actually a formidable opponent, as the photos show!
The dog is following it's natural instincts to hunt and kill prey. The same as a cat will kill a bird or mouse. These acts are completely natural and normal....
These actions do not make it aggessive, it may certainly have been relentless in it's attack, but this act alone would not make it a dangerous dog around humans. Would you euthanise a cat bringing a mouse into the kitchen? Aggression in general, and especially with humans is not a natural instinct for dogs, they are taught this.
And I agree the dog would be fine, a decent vet bill for the time to pull them all out.....
One of my Rottweilers caught a skunk last week, the skunk lasted two or three seconds, but it's legacy, in the form of a very heavy odour, lasted several days!

I had fun reading this thread, which personally do think is funny! **** happens... Humans, animals, whatever. If it's humerous, no matter what it is, i'll laugh. I laugh at video footage of me getting knocked out. Myself... But i think it's funny. not at the time, but yeah it looks funny so i laugh. The dog will have been ok and it's a humerous picture! Go and chill your nut sacks in pans of cold water if you get pissy at people who laugh!!! Forums wouldn't exist if everyone shared the same views so count your lucky stars that some people laugh and some don't! tis a good thread to read lol.
