Scunthorpe United FC, 2006/7 League One Champions.

I've supported 'em ever since I was old enough to go alone, and that's where we lived then. Still live there..............unforunately. Someone has to

good man. when i was a teenager i used to go to around 5-10 matches a season, but my heart never seemed to follow scunny as much as united. nothing to do with the trophy count etc, just my heart always drifted back to manchester.

still went to the chelsea match though, couple seasons back. was a nice day out. will definatley be keeping an eye out on the matches next year though, superb effort from a town with less than 100,000 populants!!

Burnley

Nearest town to where I was brought up - my Grandad used to take me ont bus to watch 'em. In those days (70s) we were 1st Division and a good side.

Still go and watch them from time (I don't live close any more), but there's no loyalty for players any more and far too much 'loaning' going on from time to time.

funny that, considering your current (and one of your more successful managers to date) happens to be a utd stalwart and legend of a player

lol, i aint knocking the team. Theres no denying they have produced some of the greatest players in the game.

You just cant take man utd fans seriously, ask any non man fan i bet they all agree. (unless there glory chelsea, liverpool and arsenal fans) i aint knocking these other teams but theres a fair old few glory grabbers the follow them.

And when you put it to these fans there glory grabbers they just dont understand the concept of it. Thats probably why they need to attatch themselves to a winning team?

Keep it local i say, even if its a village club like the villa.

i totally understand the concept of a "cling on" glory hunter. funny how recently a lot of cupboard chelsea fans have surfaced isnt it? too young to remember liverpools glory days , but its also funny how a lot of men in their 40s seem to support liverpool, as a percentage. with football, you always get the glory hunters. i know in myself im not one, and will always support my team whether we go down win trophies or disappear into obscurity.

just with being a man utd fan over the most prosperous (ie tv £££) years footballs ever had, you get a lot more stick than any other club do. i take it on the chin, part and parcel of supporting a massive team i suppose. its leeds i feel sorry for

Quick Reply: what football team do you support and why?
