One of the figures is out.
The galactic confederacy is supposed to have been formed 95 billion years ago.
This of course is slightly tricky as estimates put the universe at 13.7 billion years old.

Yup, OTIII is the level where they tell you about the incident. One could presume that if they told you up front you'd tell them to stick their "religion" in a volcano, whereas if you've spend 100k on being audited to that level, then you're either totally brainwashed and will believe it, you're not too dim not to belive it, or they threaten to reveal all if you don't stay with them.
I can't recall any other relegion where you have to pay join and to remain a worshiper.
The holocaust thing is interesting. Wasn't there something between Tom Cruise and Steven Speilberg within the last couple of years, when they had previously worked together on a few films, perhaps this is the real reason for a rift growing between them and TC?

Or the reason the wee TC is no longer on anyones A List at the LaLa land studios or why Nicole did a runner. What a bunch of Cults

Talking of the 'End Times' there is a fantastic series of fictional books based on 'Revalation' (the last book in the Bible for those who are not aware of it ) called 'Left Behind' - also a couple of movies.
Driverless cars careen out of control. Terrified people watch their loved ones vanish. Some say it's an alien invasion, but Rayford Steele knows that his wife's warning has come true—Christ has raptured believers and he's been left behind!
God Bless Jack

No. 95,000,000 is 95 million years ago. So it's during the Jurassic period on Earth..

Join my cult instead. I offer 3 promises, Sex, Money and two broken promises. PM for bank details.
Personally I think they're not too bad, it's the born again Christians we should worry about. Not only do they believe in some random book, they want the world as we know it to end and are quite willing to help it along. Rapture anyone?

But no-one blinks an eye should you mention playing classical music to an unborn child.
Anyhow, I've had a few takers for my cult - names withheld - any more? Membership is limited to how many people can fit in a tube train.

It is in Forest Row and it is one of the best primary schools in the area. My daughter is four, and she will join her sister in the Catholic school in one years time.
I am not a Scientologist, or actually have much stock in Catholicism (see: https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...-marriage.html)

That's because there's actual real evidence that it can calm them down, not just the ramblings of fruitloops. I don't believe it affects brain development though. Mind you, we tried it with Mozart, which is supposed to be the best, but gave it up as I hate that sort sort of rubbish (it's all noise - not real music )

I'm starting to sound like one of them, but hey it's all good debate.
Still places available in my cult, we like to keep some of our babies upset, variety being the spice of life.

The Matrix is more convincing than this load of cr*p clearly dreamed up by a sci fi writer. Who in there right mind would believe this guy.
Mind you it could be argued that this is how they all started including some of the big boys, No names mentioned

Don't they believe we were put here by some aliens or a more advanced version of ourselves? Considering the way things are going, maybe they'd like to come back and fix the heating?
Group buy anyone
Some sort of Uber Scientology machine. An E meter blue. You get a red one if you see an alien btw. Easier to store than a watch tower by all accounts.

You're the first to mention it and I agree, most religions are based around seemingly wacky ideas, get enough people to believe, have them give you some dosh and away you go. Belief keeps a lot of people happy and that's hard to argue against as the BBC reporter found out.

I don;t think the actual essence of the "religion" is any more outlandish than any other. What was the focus of the programme, was the tactics used by the CoS to prevent people from "outing" information about them. Their use of the "fair game" policy to discredit critics, the encouragement of "disconnection" from freinds and families and the outright confrontationalism of the churches representatives.

i suppose the main difference is that when religion was first conceived, the general population was too uneducated to know any different and weve evolved to believe (unbelieveable) certain things over the generations...to create new 'faiths' in this day and age seems a little preposterous...still a massive slice of hypocrisy surrounding it all though imo...!
ive no doubt its no more than a scam to exploit its members, but then no more than the (insert applicable here) church...!!!
