The slap in the face was what I needed - If a slap in the face can be good then that one certainly was
Quick update - just had a call from my solicitor
My ex has contacted her solicitor with regard to the call - my solicitor has advised me to contact the police (and told me off for not reporting previous threats made to me)
Next stop local police station

Good man
Now stick to it, for your sanity and not to mention your daughters sake, you've got to follow this through, no falling off the emotional wagon.
Make sure you update us all once it's solved.

Lol No, I know my ex wife, the manipulative biatch, sorry for the slap in the face, it didn't mean to come across as such but all the signs were in your posts, I did the same thing for 3 years after we split mainly because of my son but also because I felt like you did, she knew I still hoped we could get back together and played me like a fool, I tell you what though the day I woke up and realised what had been going on my life changed for the better, I then had the upper hand when it came to her mind games and within a couple of months she realised and that was then end of it, since then she has been rather polite, I still don't trust her 8 years later !!

I've now spoken to the Police both at the local station and via the call centre
The officer at the staion was very nice (but very busy) and suggested not enough evidence to push for prosecution so to keep a log of any further calls, texts, emails etc and try to record any calls if possible
At this point I rang the call centre - again the operator was very nice and gave similar advice and told me to contact them again if they continued but not interested in trying to trace the call etc - so I demanded it be logged and got an incident number and said I'd inform them of any further incidents
I'll update as things progress
Thanks again to everyone who has put forward comments and support - both on the post and via PM
