No wonder that Traxxas to a ball bearing upgrade for the wheelie bar on the Jato.

Imagine how fast those little things are spinning at 60mph+?

One word.. MENTAL.

I cant even begin to explain how lairy this thing is. I cant even start to set my mixtures down my road as there just isnt room. Even 1/2 throttle is heartstoppingly fast. Any stab of the gas at almost any speed lights up the rear. If its done well enough to gain any traction you'll lose all steering as your front wheels are now pointing at the sky.

Ive raced some silly cars in my time but nothing as relentless as this.

Be warned!!!

You borrowed someone elses keyboard mate??? Your Caps are stuck on lol.

TBH mate, as for a GB. I genuinely feel that some people that have bought or will buy a Jato 3.3 will hate it. Its rediculously overpowered in the dry, a complete waste of time in the damp/wet.

I genuinely feel that its full on dangerous in the wrong hands... bigtime!!

I thought it was a great laugh reading all the hype at how it was designed for expert drivers only... blah blah blah. I thought "its only as fast as you make it",

"How hard can it be?"

Never has truer word be said than Traxxas's statement regarding skill level 5 ONLY. Its not the sort of thing id be willing to let people have a go of, and in your case deffo not to be given to your young boys. Its so easy to get out of shape doing some big speed that if you hit someone or something youre going to do some bigtime damage to all parties.

Even if your well on the roll at 30mph or so and just stab the gas it will light the rear up. As far as i know, my 3.3 engine is unmodified and my god its got some serious power.

Okay... its got a 20 size engine and thats no great shakes.. but its not just any old engine. If you read its design specs its actually a full on race engine. There are bigger engines out there in the likes of the Savage etc but theyre mounted in cars over the double the weight and then have the security of 4wd to harness all that grunt. Get it wonky in the Jato and chances are youre not going to get it back. You also have to remember that only the rear wheels drive, so only the rear wheels brake too. A slight touch on the brakes in anything but the dry will cause it to swap ends in a big fashion lol.

To everyone intersted in the Jato 3.3.
Go and see one before parting with any cash. It really isnt for everyone.

Just my thoughts.. take it or leave it.

Yeah mate sticki got super glue under the caps lock key, sorted now thou.

Anyway getting back to the jato , totally agree with what you say mate read the review in race car mag you have to know what your doing with this thing or just being sensible more to the point, i dont even let the boys have a go on my schumacher that touches 60mph but has 4wd and more control,

Ill still invest in a jato soon just for the hell of it, do you think its bash proof to certain degree and im not going to be replacing parts every 2 minutes, hpi are renowned for this always breaking, my schumacher is unbreakable touch wood had know trouble with that, the jato is more of an open track car rather than off road machine be good to see how long it lasts..

the boys definatley wont be getting a go ,

Are we out in the moring rain or shine...

Id say it was exceptionally well built and very very tough... its gotta be as its designed for the race track.

But like all things deffo not unbreakable.

If its raining i wont be out as its just plain pointless for me lol. However if its sunny, or even just dry ll be straight out. If is raining i may leave it till the eveing to see if it brightens up.

Either way id like to get out at some point tomorrow.
Dazzas gonna bell me about 8am i think.

Theyre Team Integy MSR6 race dampers with piggyback reservoirs mate. Theyre a bitch to bleed though lol.

Retail for about £65 a set

Although i might change them for the Traxxas teflon one with the titainium nitride shock shafts. I have a set of nitride shocks for my losi touring car and thyere awesome.
