Now, back on topic, not many thoughts on how SN turns a profit? Very interested in this area as thinking of starting a forum non car related though...
and moses, don't you pipe up otherwise I'll send you over to the MLR for good

Who the frig invited you to my thread, your pathetic text / asian / scottish speak is neither funny nor welcome, if you want a comedy thread go start your own.

Its a public forum that has an infraction system availbe to plus members, so these days if you spout your opinion, one of the plus members will infract you
bandwidth costs money, servers cost money, this I assume is all funded by the constant stream of adverts we now have on the site, plus the membership adds a little more income, and then the forum sponsorship, and then the localised members (SMACS, Essex Crew, South Wales) can all purchase a banner which in turn adds more coffers into the SN pot
Its unlikely that you will get Simon or Shaun to give all the details, as it is a private run business, and its usually insisted that SN runs at a loss
My guess is that at some point in the future SN will be sold off for a large some of money, allowing Simon and Shaun to make a pretty sum out of it

See post 2. I did comment. In your opening post, you did not state about your ambition to become a multi-billion pound industry by starting some forum. I guess, your would-be forum is not gonna be a humour forum either, if not car related?
Post on a public forum, be prepared to give at least 30% of your thread to humour; unless it's related to some genuine tragedy. That's one rule to run a successful and interesting forum Some of us did a bit of a lighthearted posting here, that's all. No one insulted you or your inquiry on this thread. If the admin team doesn't respond to you, it's not our fault.
Hope you get your answers.

Please, is there any chance you can start writing in proper English? Surely it is not beyond you.
