Got to the hospital at 1am and got home at 7am so was sleeping all day and then down the hospital again, happy days!!
Hope you have fun

Just got back.
Nice little run down there....very busy again, so many scoobs, didn't recognise hardly any of them!
Saw BeeSTi and the other scoob get pulled over......the unmarked police car came flying up the slip road from the A130, switched his lights on halfway up.
Saw BeeSTi parked by the donut stall as we passed so hopefully it was just a talking too.
Let Lady Fozz pose along the front, so I could admire the view!

Plenty of new faces tonight.
Hope all ok with Beesti and the other scoob.
Is there a record for the most miles driven to get to a poser's cruise?
If not, can we put claim to it?
350 miles back from Cornwall 1/2 hour at home then straight down to Basildon.

A great night and another classic
Loads of new people.... some great cars...
Shame to see BeeSTI and the other Scoob pulled, but I heard nothing serious.... (fingers Crossed).
BTW, Darren, didn't realise the boss has the plague too? Not as but as man flu though!!!!!
I'm glad I forced myself out. Apart from some people turning away when I approached and getting to the front of the dognut stall only to loose my voice completely!!!! Had another great time...
Nice to speak to the Giggsies and Mneame especially and see you soon.

Thanks John, NO I wasn`t leading and tried to tell the officer that, but he wasn't convinced, he said he saw a blue scooby leading has he was going London bound so tuned back and caught me and the other guy in the silver classic. obviously didn`t see the three other blue ones in front of me not mentioning any names.... wide boy
He said I was driving dangerously, after pleading and groveling and having to apologize for the entire cruise, he said he couldn't nick me for it as he was unable to get my number plate from the other carriageway anyway
Then he produced his book and wrote me a ticket for £30 for an illegal number plate.
Definitely too slow tonight guys.......you know who you are, a certain dark wagon and a white classic

Yes we had to go a bit early tonight as the Mrs isn`t to well, and I fell a little sicker to. but could have been worse.....on the way home flashing blue lights behind me at the same A130 flyover.... couldn't believe it then proceeded to pull the car two behind me I think I should stay in for a while

I have to agree also, was a tad embarassing having lorries undertaking etc, don't think I reached 30 along the A127
We don't want to give any ammo for this being stopped each month but things like this will alienate the cruise to the local authorities.

A Little, I think triple the speed last night and we would still be in trouble, I actually stopped and waited for you guys to catch up at one point, I was going to jump out and clean the screen but I thought that might be taking the P**S

As an observer towards the front several things I feel need pointing out right from us leaving Tescos.
1. The line up along the approach road ~ Lack of radios made setting off a "suck it & see" affair ~ Same as always.
2. Onto the 127 London bound we did 60-65 until reaching slower moving traffic in the inside lane then took the slip off to double back ~ Same as always.
3. Southend bound 127 we were doing 40-45 while checking out the slow moving line in the other carriageway still going London bound ~ Same as always.
4. We have always held the speed down at the front to allow everyone all the way to the back to catch up. The roundabouts where we double back split us up badly & the only way you will catch up is by us keeping the speed down & keeping to the inside lane ~ Same as always.
5. Looking back people were not letting non convoy cars through ~ Same as always.
6. The speed at the front was actually quicker than we usually do. Work that one out. I have often seen 20-25 behind the leaders & that's before the slow down for the underpass.
7. Future runs will just have to be held at the national limit & those at the back can just play catch up all the way to the front.
You are on a hiding to nothing in this game.
Too fast & the ones at the back either loose you or roll up when everyone else is parked up & on their third coffee.
Too slow & people want to fall asleep in first gear or get out & clean their windscreens.
I have done this run since it was spawned by the Devil & now I think it has died the death. Perhaps the moaners should now take the lead & show you how it should be done.
