Morning Mate,
To answer your questions,
The Hall space comes from my Gym which is free.
We already have mats at the Gym but to be honest we don't really use them as most of our style doesn't requre them. I already have a 1st aid course which I have to renew every 3 yrs (which is up to me) As for Insurance, they Student whould have to to pay this which I believe is 20-25 for the year.

We were able to get a lottery grant to cover a whole load of new mats at the beginning of the year, which was great. If anyone's in a simlilar position (ie. needing sports equipment that will be used by and will benefit many people), check the "Awards for All" scheme; it's not too difficult to apply and the worst that can happen is that they say no.
We do also have similar insurance costs - about £20 for the year - and students need to buy their own Gi once they decide they'll want to grade. That's about £30, the grading itself is about £15, and we have occasional special courses which generally last between 4 and 6 hours and are £10-£15.

£30 pcm for Kickboxing. 2 one hour lessons in my town, or I can go to the same club in other areas every weekday night for no extra charge. That £30 also includes gradings, licence fee and any sunday courses when there are on.
