well in that case, id have to pop back into the shops and find you personally. we could then walk outside, discuss this matter further, and the fact were both scoobynet members, maybe even go for a cup of tea, and then you can help me push my car out the space im left in.

I love the way some of you go on about people using 2 bays like they have commited some sort of crime against humanity we are just out to save our pride and joy from idiots who cant drive probably and couldnt care less.

I may park in two bays but it is always at the top corner of a car park where most people find it too far to walk from, I am not one of those who has to park right outside the shop door. O.C.D. maybe but my pride and joy that I WORK really hard for looks great. I am proud of that.

I'd just arrived in Tescos car park and was sitting in my car when an idiot bint in an Audi A4 reversed *hard* into my front bumper - hard enough to move my car back a foot with the handbrake on
I got out to speak to her - she shook her head at me and drove off at speed
Pity for her that I was driving a Volvo 740 estate with bumpers like the Forth Bridge - no damage to my car, but a fookin huge dent on the rear wing of the Audi
Then years ago there was an old guy who drove into the back of my mates Vitesse at traffic lights. We got out to have words with him - he locked his door and stared straight ahead..............
So we got back in the Vitesse and drove off - leaving him in a cloud of steam and hot water where the Vitesse towbar had punctured his radiator

Alot of you seem to be doing this wrong in my eyes.
If you come back to find a dent in your car and the car still packed next to you, dont kick off the wing mirror or damage the car in any other way, just wait and get the insurance details from the driver!! You already have the reg number, and they can't leave the scene of a crime!
I'd rather have a fixed motor than a 10 minute feeling of satisfaction from klicking off his wing mirror!
When it happened to the missus the old boy in his jeep thing tried to dismiss it, in the end rather than going through insurance he coughed up the dough for the repair! sorted.
On another note someone reveresed into my mums car the other day and had totaled the drivers door!! then has driven off, feckin losers!!!
Dave.

In an ideal world eh!
Your word against theirs etc.
I was hit from behind by an Audi whilst I was stationary.
The guy got out admitted liability and we exchanged details.
This was Easter monday of this year.
He's gone and told the insurance I overtook him and slammed on my brakes.
Moral of the story, doing things the correct way is'nt always the right way!

As i said earlier in the thread, i'm absolutly fine with the two bay thing as long as the car park ain't chock a block. I'm probably guilty of it myself. If on the other hand, the car park is busy and spaces are few, then i hope from the bottom of my heart that a runaway trolly ***** your car at high speed.

But your only using two bays because a minority of considerate *******s but in turn you are being an equally inconsiderate batard?

Nothing to do with Planning Legislation as far as supermarkets are concerned! They tend to be 2.4 x 4.8 m as that used to be a reasonable size for cars. The fact that there are quire a few cars out there now which are wider than the old standard - Scoobys included – 06/07 STi is 50mm wider than a Classic.
I am involved with the construction of a major supermarket chain and it is all about car park numbers. The more spaces the more custom is the way it is seen.
In fact, a few years ago, they had a policy that spaces which were in the far end of the car park were actually reduced in size (2.3m wide if I recall) so they could fit more in. So those of you who park away from the main crowd may be parking in spaces even smaller than those near the entrance.
They only go in one direction – and that’s downhill!
Perhaps you missed an "IN" here.
