Different tablets (depsite containing the same active ingredient ) seem to work better for different people- and work better for me each year! This year "I am mostly eating Zirteck" - and snorting water to clear out my nose - which goes right the way though my sinuses and fookin hurts. - but flexonase (spelt something like that) is quite a good nose spray - you have to use it regularly - even when you feel fine, as it contains a really mild steriod and so you need to build up a concentration of it - if you only use it when you're sneezing it'll just run out of your nose and not do much else....

For immediate, although not that long lasting, relief, snort water so it comes into you mouth through your nose as it will wash out some of that pollen- and think abuot the good thgnis in summer - like the number of amazingly attractive young ladies who seem to materialise with the sun.....

Chew bees wax local to where you live - It will contain the pollens that is causing the hair fever symptoms. It really does offer relief and its a very good taste.

I suffered badly as a teenager and stress seemed to make it worse. I remember trying to revise for exams at about this time of year and it was a real pain. I found some good tablets that sort of worked but they made you tired.

The tablets were withdrawn as they found that they could lead to heart disease.......

Years later the hay fever has gone but I now have heart disease So check what you are taking

I was out doing the garden yesterday, sneezing nearly killed me, mainly as I was teetering at the top of a step ladder trying to get to the top of the overgown privets and it nearly caused me to fall off,

Put the tshirt in the washing covered in snot, why does the missus asssume the worst.....

Seems you use exactly the same stuff as me. Mind you not has to resort to the snorting water this year yet. Only thing to make sure when doing that is to have the water luke warm. As if it`s too cold you`ll end up with a spltting headache for some reason.

Ok thanks for that

No it was a kind of semi-serious warning to take care with some of these pills. I used to gulp them down without a care in the world. Something in the past has damaged my ticker but it could have been too many hours at the student bar! Nonetheless they were withdrawn because of problems. I'll let you know when I'm gone

It was possibly a factor in six massively over-weight Americans having heart attacks. That's the health scare for that.

Yep, I get this too, however, apart from the scratching of the throat with the tongue resulting in a sneezing fit, I cop an itchy nose as well. If I rub the nose I get the itchy roof of mouth, then when I scratch it with the tongue I start sneezing. I get itchy eyes as well. Especially on the inner corners of the eyes, close to the nose.

I use these pills cold Aerius. Not sure if they are available in the UK. It seems they are made in Belgium and they work a treat. No side affects and defo no drowsiness.

i used to find sticking vaseline up my nose and under my eyes helped a bit, seems to make a bit of a barrier for the pollen
