Try another MAF if you can get hold of one.

Sorry to butt in, I have the same problem, very intermtitent with boost, whether I get full or half is pot luck, but I alwasy hear it spin.

Sorry guys, but I am a complete beginner, only had my 97 import few weeks, and I have no idea what MAF, ECU, etc is.

My dump value just arrived in the post today, Bailey twin piston, a friend who has a clue is fitting it this wknd,

What should we look out for/clean ? any pics would be very helpful

Thanks

MAF is Mass Air Flow sensor it's on the airbox with a connector on it.

The black box just to the left of my induction kit.
Just above the induction kit is the boost solenoid which may need a good clean with brake cleaner done the pipes.

ECU is the brain of the car under the passenger footwell kickplate
