2002 2.0 WRX standard about 18-20mpg.
Lots of stop start traffic, London and all that.

Soon to be a 2.5 WRX, so lets see how that turns out lol

Exclamation

I've said it before and I'll say it again no doubt, but I wonder just how accurately some of these figures were obtained..?

For instance Pete, how can you claim to know your MPG (45, lol... yeh right) when you don't even know the size of the tank on your car..!!??

FWIW, those who claim to get around 22 to 26 (at best) are the ones who, IMHO, are checking it correctly..! Either that or your car is fooked..

Track work aside of course.

I worked mine out quite easily

I filled the car upto the top, and got 55 litres in reset the trip, drove to Bristol and back, filled back up and got 55 litres in, the trip was showing 410 miles

I guess im not checking mine correctly, or my car is foofed too

that was with no mods other than a magnex backbox and magnex resonated centre section on a MY00 std UK Turbo

****Reality check****
****Don't forget to reduce your MPG figures by about 8% due to speedo inaccuracy****

(My 20 MPG just became 18 ......But on the plus side, the car has 1400 less miles on it )

That's impressive..................I've squeezed my Octavia vRS up to 44.5 mpg on a long run, remap switched off, aircon off, 60 mph max and driving like a grandad

On the other hand got it down to 7.8 mpg on a Knockhill trackday

That was more fun

Full tank having fun lucky to get 180 miles to a tank.
94 WRX mild tuning

Have tried to drive like a grandad for the 8 months i've owned the car to see what it would do if you take it easy for a tank......The best i've managed is 220 to a tank, sometimes you just have to have some fun, down goes the right foot and...... where's the nearest Shell garage. Sorry officer always within the speed restrictions of course...!!!

I see the same figures from my MY04 WRX. Have only seen 32mpg after a long motorway run and driving in a very sensible fashion.
