Had a good time last night, the actual cruise to the front seemed much more organised than last time, well done to the lead cars
However, didn't stay at the front for too long, by the time we got parked and had a doughnut, there were only a few pink shirts there, but still had a chat to a couple of people, nice to meet Paul of Paul&Bon, sorry for my manners didn't introduce myself.
The film crew that was there attracted all the "undesirables" doing burnouts etc, which isn't really why we go down there, so left a bit early.
I think I prefer the winter cruises, apart from the cold weather it is much quieter.

feeling great as we left, car washed and oil leak fixed, stopped for fuel only to find no super in the pumps, drive up to m11 slip road and see 3 scoobs driving the other way ,get to the m11 and find its gridlock, had to go cross country and pick up the a130, buy now its 7.45 so much for getting to the meet early,im very low on fuel and stuck behind sunday drivers on a saturday night get to the meet on vapors and 15 mins late, never seen so many scoobys in one row before looked great but i need fuel and by the time id filled up everybodys left, dont worry says mrs kell they are only doing 50mph will soon catch up,tried my best(while sticking to the speed limit officer) but could not catch up,also something about my new car makes everyone on the a127 think i want to race(a skyline 2 mates in saxos and an unbelievable fast focus rs)still had a good night kids tried to get me on the roller coaster and watched the cruising very cool indeed, returned home(think ive got a boost leak only getting 0.68 bar)at around midnight only to find oil leak has sprung again oh well back to the spanners

Still don't actually know anyone from here - well except for MarkB4 that is.
anyway, must agree that the cruise seemed so much more well organised - a real credit to those who round us all up - must be like herding sheep
Must try to get there next time a tad earlier - as tesco was quite packed when we arrived.
I think I had MarkB4 behind for most of the way - think he was admiring his handy work (thanks for that by the way - its great)
As for the film crew - i was parked on the hatched lines briefly, behind some fiesta that they were filming - bloody hell that thing had some ground shaking system in it - they were putting objects on the roof and watching them bounce about 6 inches with the vibrations! Made me feel quite sick.
Anyway, never find anywhere to park down there - so we left soon after q-ing for the do-nuts.............
Anyway - good work to those who organised it - must get a pink shirt so then people might know who I am???

Great time at Southend last nite. Great run up there. Was my first outing out with the ESC since joining SIDC.
Next time I will:
1. Get to the correct Tesco's before 8pm instead of cruising around the wrong Tesco car park....Next time I will read the thread.....lol
2. Find out where everyone parks up, so I can get to chat to some of you.
Run was good going up there, especially as I was behind the very rally looking Scooby with the Porter number plate, that sounded so nice

Hi all,
We would just like to say how much we enjoyed the Rally this month. This was our 4th time and thought it was by far the best one. We didn't turn up late and get left trailing miles behind everyone else (1st time), We didn't nearly go up the **** of our mate's Scooby when it decided to conk out on the A127 on the way up (2nd time) We didn't get stranded at the front waiting in the middle of the A127 waiting for the slow ones to catch up then get pulled over by the nasty policeman for causing a traffic jam (3rd time - Hi BeeSTI !!!) This time it was smooth.... Well if you can call stalling it at Progress Road lights and making a complete wally of yourself smooth.... (Apologies for all that got stuck behind us on that occasion!)
We look forward to joining you again in August.
