No, I hadn't missed, that. Really, that is my point, but these things are so complicated, it is entirely possible that everyone is saying the same thing but not understanding each other!!!

Ok, one last time.

I was talking in terms of lateral grip, and the way I see it, if a lighter car can overcome it's lack of rolling resistance (compared to a heavier car) and generate more forward motion or traction at a higher g force or at a higher corner speed, it is generating more grip, in absolute terms or whatever. If I am wrong and someone could properly correct me, please do!

I've already stated the traction advantage of the Scoob, perhaps I should have made that more clear.

Who gives a ****.
The only way anyone will know who's car is faster than who's is to have a proper race on a track.

I beat a cayman 'S' at MIRA a few weeks ago by 18 seconds, but it's a bit of an unfair fight. It was beaten by a standard golf r32 by 2 seconds.

My point was that a true race can only be carried out on a track as sooner or later someones bottle will go on the public roads.
eg. I would never take my car up to its maximum speed on a public road but wouldn't have second thoughts on a track. Point being, someones bottle will eventually go on a public road 'race' as the consequences of something going wrong are far greater.
