Seriously, how many times do I have to state it before it sinks in to your befuddled mind?

This is why I have an issue with you, its a constant theme of your posting. Ignore the other poster, read into what they say and distort it for your own ends and then completely fail to look (and accept) that there is a bigger picture.

There's nothing specious about my questions. I've simply asked you direct questions which you've avoided answering. Again, you do this every time and I can only assume the reason why you won't answer them is that you know it will undermine your position.

There are plenty of others on this thread who don't agree with your narrow minded viewpoint but I notice you don't include them in your last post. Anyway, what the hell are you on about when you talk of 'orders'? Is this another lame attempt at justifying your position?

I'll let you have the last word because I know how much it means to you in your twisted little world. I'm off on holiday for a few weeks where the locals are not as narrow minded, not dibbing out - simply enjoying myself.

Enjoy Cornwall.

Ooops. I forgot - you don't live there.

Yes you have certainly repeated yourself a few times, by making statements which dont apply to the situation being discussed but merely say what you would like to think is true. And you have ignored what others as well as I have said, and that is that second home owning does not bring tangible assets to a community as you say but serves rather to make houses too expensive for those who live there to buy. You have ignored that fact completely which is a very selfish attitude to take. That is the point that i made in the first place and you have gone all round the houses in an effort to justufy your own second home.

You have also gone out of your way to insult me and call me names which is of course a sure sign that you cannot conjure up a positive argument for what you say, as well as being childish.

If I was wealthy by the way, I would prefer to feel that I would avoid using it in such a way that I was disadvantaging others.

You may now have the last word as far as I am concerned.

Les

A house on the front went on for £4.75m (the agent thought about £4m but went for £4.75m just in case) in Rock and sold last week for £6.2m!!

Walked around it yesterday (wife is from there, her grandparents have land and a rather lovely house in the village) and was gobsmacked at how many £1.5m+++ houses there are.

Think wife's folks should have held onto their house for a bit longer!

Power - Where was that?

My inlaws bought their place for £65k, spent about £100k on it and sold it for £1.2m 12 years later.

Not a bad ROI!
