Oh god here we go again.
Four and a half star Evo car, won a major group test, timed by many at just over 15s to 100 but Evo mag at 16.4.
Now your going to tell me your green boxed Astra is MUCH quicker?
I was going to chip mine too but I really don't think the chassis or gearbox would cope so am leaving it and waiting until I can get a "proper" fast car again.

Been considered but it would have to be at least an STi and I do rather favour a decent boot so that rules it out.
I like the Scooby a lot but I'm afraid I would go for an Evo if I wanted a slightly mad 4x4 rally rep.
Who knows what will happen though?
I'm looking at the 335d Touring, the Evo FQ360 and many others too!

No! I wouldn't dream of saying the astra is faster. But between any 20mph increment up to 100mph ie. 30-50, 50-70, 70-90 in any gear the astra would leave you for dead mate. You see, it's all about weight and transmission losses, oh and the fact the astra has 300ft/lbs

1st off quote as many figures as you like the mark 4 R32 is one awesome car. I owned one before my STi PPP. A low milage 3.5yr old version will still set you back £17k, that's almost 77% of its original value !! You can buy new VXR's for that, but what will they be worth in 3.5yrs .... yeah exactly!!
Why do they hold their price so well do you think, it certainly isn't because of their "crap 4wd system" now is it, it's better than the one in your Astra.. right!! If your old man has one, well done him, he probably doesn't let you drive it, does he?! Shame his profound taste in cars hasn't rubbed off on you!

One search on the trader and a full page of the things all around £14k!!
You really should do your homework you moron before embarrassing yourself on here.
Taste in cars? You have a Subaru and you talk about taste?
My old man is 70 that's what I meant by "it's an old mans car"
Really, there is an old adage that goes like this. Engage brain before putting mouth into gear!! you should learn it, it will serve you well.

I don't know what you're smiling at mate, you need to look at your own spelling and grammar! It's appalling, how old are you?

Yes of course you do! And to prove it you're going to put a copy of your P60 on here aren't you? Because any gutter snipe who can't write correctly, is unlikely to be able to earn £6.5k a year let alone £65k. Look mate, it isn't a bad thing being subnormal just as long as you're happy with you're lot! You read to many comics about tuning companies my friend.

and for DMS tuning, there's lots of proof out there, u nobby
why dont u crawl back under a big heavy stone, inbreed!!

Jesus, how thick are you? Are you by any chance part of the care in the community scheme? I suppose you have a helicopter too? This forum used to be full of keyboard hero's like yourself! but once they'd been found out they scurried away back to their hole in the ground. So scurry along you none creative garbage. By the way, have you noticed just how fluent I am in our language compared to your incomprehensible babble? That would be because I have a degree in English, whereas you, probably have a degree in bull ****. Now, please can we call an end to this thread because you are really beginning to bore me with your utter bollox. You don't earn £65k, you don't have a 535d, you aren't getting a kit car, and you really should be in bed by now.

oh a degree, wow im so impressed, Not u inbreed!!, even with your degree, un still cant get a good job, u will have to just stick with your astra diesel!!

I'm thinking of leasing (or similar) using our ltd company.
Seems like the way forward these days.
Buying a company car outright is financial suicide unless you want a 1.0 Fiat or similar.

i have thought about leasing in the past, but my biggest problem with that is i do a high milage, 35k + per year, which allways make the leasing costs really high, if your only doing 10k a year, then prices seem good
