Bas - yeah keeping it as whilst the other half is studying (unless contractor rates revert to what they were early 2001!
).
Cos we need to get her a new car, as the scooter is proving a little impractical (btw, it will be for sale soon, anyone want a Sept reg Pug X-Race Speedfight 2, blue/orange?).
Hows your brakes btw? And the Terzo in general?
Alex

I thought I had finished my car then I saw the Interior of yours
oh god more money to spend
the gauges look great as does the carbon effect
What is the little box next to the gear stick?
There is a great choice of rear spoilers I my self have a Scoobysport spoiler with the Carbon Blade
Look forward to seeing the final pics when you make your mind up

Alex,
looks very nice, must say its changed a lot since I first saw and sat (thanks!) in it at bentley last year.
question is, what's next to change!

Phil - the control unit is used to set peak warnings, view/reset peaks hit, record 40 secs of movement, as the gauges are electronic. The control unit will handle about 7-8 different gauges attached to it
but your dashboard might not be big enuff

As for the next change after the spoiler.. errmm... s'pose it will be a nu car, the STi 8 maybe

Jason,
Hi there! Yes we did, long time since we last spoke!
Nah, not 300Bhp, I'm still thinking about the merits of modding the wrx performance wise or just going for a WRX STi![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Hope all is well with you!

The STI is growing on me.
I think if I was changing I would drive the P1, STI and EVO6 or 7.
You tempted by the EVO route?
Also when you did the down pipe on your P1; did it invalidate the warranty?

Very Nice car DrEvil. I grew up lusting after an 'original' impreza turbo and have a MY00. I nearly bought a MY01 import and intended to spend some £6k on mods but I'm glad I waited as the many extra parts on the STi (esp. the 6sp box) are simply not part of reasonable mods an a standard WRX. I think I can wait until the end of this year now (2002!) and order a UK spec STi from the continent. It's a simply awesome base car to start from as you get huge value for money in the core components of the car compared to a normal WRX. I don't mind spending my hard earned on cars but I don't think I can justify losing £5k in 12mths (again) to the wife. I'm waffling....STi7 absolute bargain, should cost about £35000 against normal WRX.

Vate
If you are thinking about getting an MY01 to 'play' with, have a look at the one that Dave T-S has for sale at the moment - very sorted car with no expense spared and very rapid.

i think owners of UK WRX's should hold fire on the STI UK.
What if they do a Prodive UK300 new version in 6 months time???
When will the PPP be ready for it!!!
Im gonna wait another year and see if next years model is an improvement (i think it will be!!) and be happy modding my WRX for a while!!

Anthony - basically made the shift the same as the STi / P1, very nice IMHO.. I think its about approx 20% shorter shift (may be 25).. It is basically the STi part
Apparently the BRD Developments quick shift is about 30% shorter, so you may want to look into that...
Rgds, Alex

Alex,
Thanks, the throw is a bit improved with the Momo gear **** so I'll probably be ok with the prodrive one.
Ps. I still reckon the Scoobysport spoiler is best. Mine hopefully goes on soon!

Vate - agreed the STi 7 Type UK is a bargain in comparision, but unfortunately, I needed a car asap, so got the WRX. Also, don't need to be paying STi level insurance right now, so another plus for the WRX.. althought I do seem to have spent a lot of mod'ing it

Cheers, Alex
PS. re down pipe on the P1 - not so much the car's warranty (unless the change contributes to a problem) but the exhaust warranty wasn't valid - have you had probs then Jason?
