Apparently we have had 42 mm yesterday and 51 since midnight. One of the girls from work phoned into the office this afternoon to say she had broken down going through a puddle and couldn't get the car started again. She said she was still in th puddle and didn't want to get her 80 quid shoes wet. We took of in a Range Rover to get her out. When we got there the water was a few inches above the door handles.... I couldn't believe she was worried about her shoes

Loads of folk going through red making me see red!
Police blocked off one main road into the centre and cue more mayhem and chaos. One poor lady was actually stranded in a huge puddle on the ring road, it was calamity I have hitherto not witnessed before.
