From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Stands and selection.
At the risk of being "ejected" from the club, I would suggest that the choice to avoid winning a prize would be more valid if this were not a SUBARU event, I personally COULD have brought along a Bentley and a Jag., (friends in the industry) but it's irrelevant to a SUBARU event.
I have no gripe with the car club arguement, but most other events are open to all makes.
Hope you all enjoyed yourselves, back soon as well enough, ( will keep my head down ! ).

Ejected? For a valid argument that's been made before? Anyway, we're all out of ejector seats...
I coud have blagged a load of cars too, but that's missing the point of an owners club...
Bu now the debate has started
Great point mate that we need to discuss for next year... But we also need to see how much the Atom affected the marks and a lot more besides...... Like how much we want to move away from club lore and its heart to win a trophy.....
But hey.. this is just the start, and I'm looking forward to some good debates...

I thought the points awarded for the club stand alone were minimal, so therfore all this chat about cars and what marque they all are, maybe could be replaced or discussed along with
what else were we missing
our greeting of people
looking for new membership
Additional fund rasining for the NBO charity
Things for none members to do (entertainment)
the wow factor
we potentially lost marks accross the board not soley because of the Atoms appearence.
pulls up comfy chair and pop corn

Spot on mate
That's exactly the type of thing we have to look at... and I'd add that to any agenda..
As for greeting I'd say it was poor timing to visit a stand when we had two members doing the show and shine...and many members out supoorting them.. the stand looked empty!
Anyway.. I don't want to get caght up in specifics...
Do we have the resources (people & time etc?)... another agenda item...
Salted or Toffee?

Not sure if you were aware Mick, but we held our own 'stand' raffle for a power run, donated by AET, and raised an additional £60+ for the charity on the day.
IIRC it was won by one of the TTS guys.

I was just reading lordys initial sum up of the day and WYIOC did not get a mention in it, although others did for adding extra to to the kitty for the running there own raffles, how bizzare
I have a brilliant idea for next years NBO8

Hey up
No internet at home and manic at work as meant I havent posted up about this yet, but here goes !!!
Started on Saturday with the last minute camping, really good camp site was made to feel very welcome, although i did slope off quite early not feeling too clever.
The Sunday, well a fantastic day, even the rain didnt spoil it, not too fussed about having to dry the car 4 times over was worth second place in the classic impreza category...well done to the other wyiocer that took first place, not bad for the club two trophys!!!
Well what can i say about the stand...I thought it looked terrific especially the balloons , I have to say i was very impressed that everyone helped out, blowing up,tying and ribboning 200 is hard work but we did it...
Thanks to everyone that cooked for us all,
Thanks to Sticky & AET for shipping all the stand supplies etc....
Thanks to Scott & Pep for sorting the tshirts, just wondering if the printer would be able to knock out a couple of them kids ones Pep? the same your little one had on on Sunday would be great!!
Here goes the serious stuff!
Personally I think we were robbed, we definately deserved 2nd place, yep the LADS stand was amazing but that was all that stood out to me...
I agree we should ask Lordharding for feedback and maybe the score sheet, its very deflating to not even get placed but then with no feedback what so ever for all the effort gone into it, its not good....
But thanks guys for a top day, last year we attended just as a family no club in tow and i have to say it meant a lot more being part of WYIOC this year...
Well thats us, on Friday we fly off on our jollies but will see you when we get back.
Sarah x
