Well said my man. (in your thread) I actually thought oh! No when I saw you thread, and then as I read it, knew JB was back, and back at his best.
I am not going to pretend the recent mass exodus did not have a visual impact to our meet; however, it took nothing away from the meet itself. One of the best ones I have ever had. Recently I have been ducking out at half nine, I did not get home till after midnight last night and enjoyed every minute of it.
I think we can be positive about members who chose to leave the WYIOC and look on it as a spring (summer) clean, the members who chose to leave obviously were very unhappy with the WYIOC and NBO stand decisions, let alone some personal conflicts with those of us who drink far far too much at camping trips, but as I have said, its all personal choice.
Me and Stuart had a great talk, about our drunken behaviour on meets and camping trips, and we have come to the decision, that we should become shandy drinking fairies, not strictly true We could look at having a beer tent with bouncers for us drunkards
Some old faces, and can I tell you, how good it was to see friendly old faces, thank you. I was a little taken back by new members turning up too, lose members, gain members, that’s the way of the world I guess, but certainly made me as WYIOC member feel proud, new cars and new members in the car park.
Can I just say welcome to you all, can’t recall all your names, but your insurance price made JB feel happy about his, first time I’ve talked insurance while JB’s been there and he actually smiled.
Can I just say as long standing WYIOC member, I was proud of each and everyone of you who turned up last night, more than any meet or event we have had, having feet on the ground last night was a big deal, so Thank you
I know some members had commitments and simply could not get there, but that only made last night stronger, as it can only get better
Thank you sincerely each and everyone.

See, now thats where your going wrong, try not to listen to rumours and establish both sides of a situation before making outbursts like this.

Matt. Was that post REALLY necessary? How do you feel it contributed to this thread?
Come to a meet and judge for yourself. You may be pleasently surprised.
Edited to add:
I hope you don't read this post as being aggressive in any way. Not my style.

Does that mean that your not going to get drunk at all camping events and offer threats of violence to all old and new members. I hope Mick did have a good chat with you and I also hope the owners where you camped at the NBO welcome you back next year after you obviously upset them with your drunken foul mouthed out bursts. All the best mate p.s. you can get AA's Number off 118 118. This is why I will not be joining the WYOC as have heard lots of rumours thinking of looking around and joining another club without any aggression !!!!!!!!!!!!!
We all do it.
Believe me i,ve seen quite a few members of NICC seriously drunk, obnoxious, rude and downright insulting.
I didn,t run off crying about it.
I just walked away from them, like any normal person would.
I wouldn,t use it as an excuse to leave a club.
You don,t even need to give a reason to leave,
you could have just said
" sorry, i,ve found another club that i want to try, so i won,t be involved in the WYIOC anymore"
It would have been the mature, sensible and decent thing to do.
Using another member as an excuse is just pathetic
And doing it behind his back is even more than pathetic.

Well said Rich & Jackie...
On one side we've got Claire saying the nicest things about us all and on the other some burly bloke moaning about someone well mullered and being a bit leary and OTT..
Shurely shome mishtake...
Matt... if you're basing your judgment of us on rumours only and not on sound judgment, your own eyes and ears and a little reason, then I'd agree you certainly need to find somewhere else... especially as we're also likely to mug you, knick your car burn it out and pillage your village...
It also means the rumours from the lovely Jackie now mean that the NICC is also out now.... that's a bugger eh?

I did have a good chat, I think you may be reading it wrong though, I had a good chat with everyone last night, me and stuart had a 'Good' chat as we are 'good' friends.
Your post reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend? and an NICC member just yesterday, he thought we had been banned from a campsite too, strange how rumours get about, even more strange were they come from. Simply from that comment I now know the member(s) and the club from where the rumours came
Why waste your time posting a reply without any constructive critisism,
If you base your judgements on rumours how bad the WYIOC are just dont click on WYIOC events its that simple...
To be frank with post like that I am glad you have come to decision not join the WYIOC, This club certainly does not welcome post or members with that attitude. Its not too clever to make allegtions and or slander people.
There are plenty of other clubs in the Northern section, for you to have a look at, good luck with your hunting, do some fishing about for rumours first though hey
