hiya guys,

I've been in touch with Ron as i'm looking at his stage 4 conversion. He would be happy to add my engine to the group buy only with respect to the shipping as it will be cheaper, due to the bulk shipment. How much are the import duties, i'm aware of the VAT which has to be added but not sure of the duty. Also is the duty on the dollar delivered price? If the price of the converstion is $3300 what do you think the final bill delivered will be?

cheers guys

The import tax changes depending on what it's listed as and for what purpose.

You would be safe to say purchase cost + total shipping (including any insurance) + Import tax (this changes but a safe 10%)+VAt on everything.

so for instance an engine worth $3300 with $350 for shipping would be

$3650 shipped, this is then converted at todays exchange rate (for example $2=£1) so = £1825 + 10%(Import tax) = £2007.50 +Vat @ 17.5% =£2358.81

You normally find the shipper has added in some extra charges along the way but this won't be a millon miles away.

You could always asked the item to be listed by Axis as something cheaper but then this would be dishonest!!!! plus if it gets losts the insurance wouldn't cover the cost

Ok we have a solution to the group buy. I no a few of you want the motors ASAP and others a month or so down the line. I have spoken to Ron and he has agreed to the following.

People in the group buy who want there motors now can go ahead and pay full ( Group buy ) price and have them built and delivered ASAP you will have to pay for the shipping door to door this will be around $250-$300 250 was included in the prices on page 1

The remaining people on the group buy and the few who have pm'd me over the last few days if you want the motors at the group buy prices you can pay 50% to reserve your motor at the group buy price and the final payment when you want it delivered in a month or so.

With that said we still need the minimum five orders to take place at the same time deposits or full orders.

Hope this helps, let me no what you think.

Scoobyslammed has the 2.35 kit running on his Type R, and had nothing but praise for it.

Cannot fault AXIS's work, prices or customer care... I was updated on what was happening with the engine regular, where the build was up to...
Playsatan also had the 2.35 built by Ron... it was playsatan that pointed me in Ron's direction...
Didn't think it could be so easy ordering from the USA...
