Thought this may happen!
No, this is not a rivalry between myself and SIDC.
The members of Flat Four are not only EX-SIDC but also new owners of the Impreza Marque.
Like some of you know, I originally started the Halfway House meets for the SIDC back in April 2000, but through the aggro that I received from members I decided to start a Club Myself.
I used to be involved with the Essex RSOC, So I had the experience to run a club based round the members only.
I have paid alot of attention to the quotes I have been told and have just acted on them in a positive way.
Since then, Flat Four has grown immensely with alot of happy members. We focus on what the members want and deliver. Just come to the meets and ask.
This month, we have arranged a Karting event at Rayliegh on Sunday 27th Jan, with prizes for the overall winner,Also, we are visiting Sussex for another Scooby meet and have a Treasure Hunt.
Meets for Flat Four are the 10th,17th and 27th at the Plough and Sail.
All are welcome to attend.
Hope to see you there!

I am not running a club that is in a contest with the SIDC.
As some of you may know, i originaly started the SIDC Essex meets back in April 2000. I recived alot of feed back from this and decided to start a club myself so the members would get what they wanted.
We arrange Track Days,Convoys,3 Monthly Meets and much much more. We have our own merchandise also that appeals to our members. And yes,Dick grimes has helped, and is currantly still working with us!
We have our own Performance up-grades (Cars to show and prove) and are under-going a web site.
I did place a notice last year to which i did recive some aggro over. (Not mention any names!) But i am still running and will carry on.
We have a good membership and it is growing faster than what i ever imagined.
Meets are held at the Plough and Sail (Thanks for Maps!) Every 2nd,3rd Thursday and one Sunday per month.
The club e-mail is lloydd4@talk21.com or ring on 01245 426678/07860 633885

Question

So in order that I may make an informed decision as to whether or not to join, exactly how many fully paid up members does the club currently have?

I'll join up & I'll be there on the 17th (Plough & Sail). If anyone wants to e mail me at

knowlesy@ferrari50.freeserve.co.uk

with any details of the FLAT 4 meets, that would be great & do I get a car sticker because its always good to open up opportunities! So good luck to whom ever may be running this.

Who knows we could in a year or two be talking mergers, aquisitions & buy outs. Shares SHARES, now there's an idea....

Thumbs down

What is it with some people today? Someone is offering alternative/additional meets for Scooby enthusiasts and all of a sudden the SIDC sycophants jump in for a Kick in
If you wish to stay in your clicky (up your own ****) groups then I am sure the rest of us will benefit, because if you were to turn up at any other meets all you would do is make a mockery and possibly poo poo someone else’s efforts. If you are not interested, then why don’t you just **** off and hijack some poor other buggers thread.

P.S. I love sycophants, brown noser’s and MY01’s
Just thought I would stir the custard a little…………..

Hi Scott, yeah she's old but least she's pretty
Running how she should be now.....I had my suspicions that
my MY97 BOV was duff, so I changed that. I have also added
on a STi5 TMIC and had my Link upgraded to the new PCenabled chip.
The new Link chip for MY97/98 includes something called fuelling wakeup and better boost control.
Basically, after my remap at xmas with Bob, she's going very well.
Need to get her dyno'd....

Dave T-S, nothing to add???? come on stick the boot in

Love 'n' Hug's.....Jacko

Jacko
How are you?

Nothing to add really, cos don't want an argument. Was just curious as to what the flat four thing was all about

PS - you don't want to buy Carolyn's MY01 then I take it?

Hi Dave,
I must admit, I may consider an STi7 with some Morrettes, springs and better wheels. The Sti7 engine has all the bells and whistles ready for slight modding, i.e. straight thru zorst + Optimax + millers etc etc.
As far as other meets go, I believe the more the better! No rivalry, just having a beer and telling tall stories about how slow UK300's are (Scott )

Jacko (I would just like to add that I am not a wind up merchant!)

Unhappy

This sounds all too familiar.......

Remember the hastle with the original 'NON-SIDC' H/H meets
Wondered when it would resurface....

Hopefully the date clash is accidental... Wonder why I'm not convinced though

Probably..... Shame search is down, otherwise I'd dig out the old Halfway House threads....

Reckon the post about Sidelines gives it away... Dick Grimes rides again

More meets is not a bad thing (unless attendance suffers as a result), but why the politics?

James.
