Did you not get them to sign a receipt stating "Sold as seen and inspected by the Buyer"
I sold a V6 Omega Estate for £800 and pointed out its faults, the buyer accepted the faults and signed the paperwork, then came back at me for over £1000 towards the repairs, needless to say he got nothing out of me despite his threats
