Just spoke to Si & sticky (Mick had his trousers around his ankles...... so I didn't hang around to ask.....why)

Si can't make the camping but will be down on Sunday. He's dropping the soft drink of with me a little later.

As for the BBQ food, we'll get that tomorrow for those camping (club funds wont pay for that) and once we know the numbers as some people still may drop out if its bad weather..... Sticky & I may be two if it's too bad again...

As for Sunday food, we can make a trip out on the Saturday and get some packs... so we can discuss that tomorrow too.

IF camping is of for some of us, then I will get some BBQ packs and bring them down Sunday morning.

So.. current plan is to be at Stickies at 3pm cos he's got a job on in the morning... we'll get the stuff and travel down.

Scott.. is that better for you?

Saturday for Nottinghamshire:

hi all ,,,,iv just been talking to paul,,,and 3pm is a bit too late for me ,,as we would not be getting down there till about 6.30/7 pm

so what we said is a few who want to set off abot 12 ish (meeting at paul c's)

and we can sort the camp out and make sure we get a good spot..

if there is any thing i/we need to bring from the unit ,,,just let me/us know and we will come and collect so that people are over cramped in the cars

i will start a list of whos meeting where

Since when did it take 3.5 - 4 hours to get to Thoresby?

I'm going in the car myself, rather than on foot. 30 minutes tops

Look.. no one's pissed off with you asking questions...... I'm glad you and Scott did cos this had been left standing for too long... You did the right thing... No really you did.. really honestly...etc etc

Only thing I'd say is if you feel that an event organisation has slipped (and this one surely did) and you want to grab an event by the collar to get some organsing done... then do it... nothing stopping people getting stuck in...

As Scott and Sticky don't get finished until a little later, then it seemed sensible to move it on a few hours from 12:30 which was a little early for them, but a bit late for you.. Still gives us a good few hours of daylight to have a play about... and get the BBQ fired up..

If you want to shoot off earlier with some kit and grab the pitch and have a run about with the kids then get yourself down there and stake out a good area for us... we'll follow shortly after...

I'm more worried about the bloody weather

rant over

doin my own thing regarding gettin there......

You have to remember that this is still the school hols and for some, the busiest time of year where leave is hard to come by...

Things like this go in cycles.... Just needs some good solid members to keep things rolling along....
