SCOOBY IS HOME ![Luxhello](images/smilies/luxhello.gif)

What a right handful he was comign out of the vets, jumping all over the place barking, whining and slapping everyone in there to death with his tail![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I have to take him back first thing in the morning for another check up, and if anything happens tonight to take him straight to the emergency vets
They have had the coag bloods back and they are normal so his blood is clotting (so it rules out poison), but none of the others have come back yet
Im not sure what these are apart from one of them is Vitamin K
but he has had
Konakion
Torbugesic
Nisamox
Rapinovet
charges are currentnly upto now £500, which was a bit of a shock, as yesterday he told me they were at 330 before going to the Emergency vet (which was around 40 quid) and we had paid 100 quid yesterday, but the vet never noticed that so it was actually at 430 quid
I asked about getting a prescription if it is Aspergillosis and she said yes but it really isnt that much cheaper, as the tablets are very expensive anyway, but to cross that bridge if it comes to that
Glad to have him back now

Fantastic news! I know what you mean about the overactive tail, Lily's tail has a mind of it's own, seems not to mind bashing against walls, legs and anything else that's in the way of it

PS - and thanks for taking so much time to post up the news. Might all end up as a nice SN thread and they don't happen all that often

He's certainly a LOT livlier than yesterday LOL, little bugger having us so upset and worried!! I know he's not out of the woods yet and is still not 100% but he really does seem so much better
![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
When he got out of the car he wouldn't stop wagging his tail and had a tinkle or two on the privet, before then cocking his leg on Sonic

You know what, we were actually looking at pet insurance last night and TBH it doesn't cover a lot of what you would expect which I think is wrong and find a bit odd!
From the way things read, It won't cover the meds we will need for scooby, which will probably be the biggest cost in all this ![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
Once he's back to full health I think we should scour some insurances properly in fine detail and get the best one we can find in case anything at all may happen like this again, nothing worse than having insurance then realising it doesn't cover half of what you need!
As far as the money for this lot goes, yes, it will be a struggle, but I would rather struggle and give him the best chance of survival than do what one of the other cases we were told about did and get him put down just because of the treatment cost
He's 2 years old and has plenty of life left in him yet, so there's no way *I* will give up on him that easily! He deserves the chance, he got through yesterday and last night, despite being seriously ill and that says something! I am sure we have plenty of things between us that we don't use / need that we could sell to relieve some of the cost, fingers crossed he won't have to go to the university for the op, if he's a fighter he will get through this without it, hopefully ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

We have a Rough Collie and they do suffer with skin troubles due to their fur. We've had to have him in, sedated, shaved on his underbelly and treated with creams on a couple of occasions and the isurance pays out, no fuss, we don't even do the paper work, just give the vet the details and away we go.
And yes, before anybody says, we have tried grooming, even with a muzzle, but you try getting clippers near 30Kg of squirming mutt that doesn't want to play!

They're really cute ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Olly, thank you, well worth looking at! May not be cheap but better than having something like this to shell out for
