We women are not the sensitive souls some of you blokes think we are. Most of us can stand up for ourselves and usually just laugh off the drivel that we hear.

No one is worried or his doing it for the woman. We would do so purely for ourself, purely due to our pride, and someone stepping on our "patch". Its all about how they have shown disrespect towards me, never mind the other half.

So, you have never spoke about other women like that then, yeah
Sorry, just seem like an "out of date" approach. It happens all the time and will continue to do so, not worth getting upset about

Not in such vulgar terms no, and certainly not in earshot of the lady in mind.

Its like if Im at a club with my lady, and someone approaches it her not noticing that im with her, as soon as they realise they usually say sorry and I have no problem with that. However if they do know im with her and yet carry on they will soon get a face full of glass Labour voter style. I cant be perfect at everything

If someone started talking to your girl, saying what he would like to do to her after having been repeatedly been asked to go away for the past 5 mins, you would just carry on standing there?

It is the person who is creating the confronation who is the Chav. Its chivalry to look after a lady and not allow her to be harassed.

You see you either have two options.

1 - Knock some sense into him.
2 - Leave the venue and have your night ruined. Also run the possibility of your lady wondering why you didnt stick up for yourself.

And why am I a troll

where in chivalry do you see sticking a glass in someone face to sort a problem out.i'm sure the lady in question would be impressed.i will agree if someone starts throwing punches i will and have stuck up for the wife and myself.

Dont get me wrong Im not a guy to start with violence and am pretty laid back. It really does take alot to get me wound up, I walk around with a smile on my face 24/7. I even smile when I crashed my car or fcuked up somewhere. Im generally such a joyful person that people dont take me serious sometimes when I really am.

Violence is a nasty last resort and its only something I will partake to when pushed. Its just that I have had a sort of old fashioned upbringing and had a strong primary socialisation as a youngster with the image of the man being strong and protecting the weaker. Im a big softie really

P.S havent had a fight since leaving secondary school long time ago

I agree most males talk like this at some point or other, but to do it to her face and when she is clearly uncomfortable with it is not on
My ex (1st gf loved her to bits) used to work as a secretary, and I too used to put her fears down to lighthearted banter, until one night in a nightclub one of these low life bastids decided to do something which amounted to sexual assault on my girlfriend for a "laugh with the lads"
She never told me the whole story of what happened until a few days later but I could tell there was something she was not telling me as she had totally lost her confidence and bubbly personality was gone Never really been in a fight in my life before but when I met him I battered the **** out of him and am ashamed to say at the time it felt good .

Got what he deserved. Seriously though men know that when they do stuff like this there is a good chance that they will **** off the womans other half in the process. They are willing to take the risk so let us men get on with it.

Remember once when I was a bit younger a man tried to pull my GF in his car or so she says. He was an african and I know they have more of a hands/ touchy touchy approach when it comes to women. Anyway due to him holding up traffic he said he would swing round at which point she took the oppurtunity to phone me whilst crying her eyes out. I was sitting in my boxers in my house when I got the call, slapped on some shoes and ran out my house with a bat. If I had seen him his car and hopefully him also would have got battered senseless. However I never saw him return but then we didnt stick around either.

Some men will just need to learn the hard way.

To me it depends on how the g/f felt about it. If she'd taken it as light-hearted banter, I trust her and so it wouldn't worry me. If she was clearly upset about it, and they'd continued after realising she was upset about it, yes I'd be very annoyed.

Got to admit, I wouldn't pick a fight with a whole bunch of lads, as unlike seemingly 90% of scoobynet, I don't think I'd comfortably win a fight with 16 other blokes at once (or even 6 for that matter). However, I certainly wouldn't employ them to do any work for me, and my initial reaction certainly wouldn't be to let it go.

The most important thing to me would be how the g/f feels about it. Therefore if she genuinely wanted to just never see them again and forget about it, that's what I'd do.

The lads were just being lads, but their boss by condoning their behaviour was being totally unprofessional. Forget about it, but don't employ them.

My girlfriend tends to attract a lot of male attention. But if I’m honest it doesn’t bother me normally. On one occasion I got really got annoyed with a man who sprayed a Scooby bonnet for me. I thought he was being really helpful to me by collecting the bonnet from my house and then returning it once he had finished. So I decide to give him a £20 tip, then the following day my missus decides to tell we what he had said to her. Listen to this… When he came to collect the bonnet he clocked my missus as she was working form home, he then tells her she is the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen etc. This didn’t bother me as many guys she works with tell her similar. What did really annoy me was when returning the bonnet, he tries to get her to leave me and encourage her to sleep with him telling her what positions he would do on her. As you can imaging I was fuming, so I called up to have a chat, I explained to him it was not acceptable for him to do this and a few weeks later I found out that he had been sacked as his boss overheard the conversation. He was so lucky I didn’t bang him one!

Would it bother me if anyoen made comments about my girlfrend? Not in the slightest.

If it doesn't bother her, it doesn't bother me.

I am of the opnion that just because some bloke may try and chat her up, or make a comment about what he would like to do to her, does not mean she is automatically going to go off with him.

Course if she takes offence, then you have a word. But if she just shrugs it off, then so do I.

You only have to read some of the threads on here to see how a lot of less intelligent "men" view women. Really not worth getting upset about.

Plus, now I've turned 40, I'd be quite chuffed if they said that about me....

I was always told you should never drink a malt that's any younger than you are. Problem is that's getting pricey now.... Still a girl can dream....
