Sorry the lack of updates
Still not heard back from the Vets yet as to what these Polyp like things are in his nose, they said possibly Thursday or Friday at the latest
In the meantime, Scooby is now not on any medication (for the time being), and seems more like his normal self, his nose is still runny, and we still have to watch for nose bleeds and take him straight back in if he starts again
Touchwood he has been ok since we got him back on Saturday, his last major nose bleed was on Thursday, the longest he has been without a nose bleed is 4 days prior to now, so all being well he will have surpassed that by tomorrow
Its still a big unknown as he could still have nose bleeds and still hasnt had any treatment for the Polyps or Aspergillosis, it is a pain not knowing and having to wait for the results, but hopefully we will get something back soon so we can finish whatever treatment he needs

Really glad he's feeling a bit better, hope it lasts. I keep coming in here mainly to check on how he's getting on. I'm job hunting at the moment but as soon as i get a new job i'll put a donation in (obviously if this is still ongoing).
Its really made me think as well. I've taken out pet insurance on my dog now after never bothering before.
Hope this isn't taking too much of a toll on you guys either. Hopefully this will all be back to normal in as shorter time as possible.
Good luck with it all
Pete

If there is one thing I urge anyone to do if they havent done so already is to get Pet Insurance, I think this thread and the orignal just goes to show you can never expect something like this, and it still isnt over either, and Pet Insurance would have helped massively
As promised a little later than I had planned, these have been the current Vet Bills upto now, we just have to wait to get the results back from the Biopsy's to find out the remaining costs, and providing Scooby doesnt bleed again
Total Spent upto now is £1100.61, we have no idea of the remaining costs, until results are back, and treatment could range from steroid nasal spray to full surgery on Scooby's nose, once we know the results, and treatment plan and costs I will put them up on this thread so we know what we are up against, and where we stand regarding the money donated by everyone

I've just spent the best part of two hours reading the two threads; have you considered 'Scooby: The Movie'?
Let's hope for a fairytale ending - it's what Scooby, the pair of you (not forgetting the kids, of course), and the community all deserve.
What a fantastic advert for the community too; it's not often people on here pull together, but when they do, it's truly astonishing. A big pat on the back for everyone.
All the best for the future - my fingers and toes are crossed,
G-STAR.

OMG! I havent been on SN for ages and i log in to see whats been going on and read this. Donna, Steve, you have my heartfelt sympathies, i've been crying just reading whats been happening to him. Added to that, i'm amazed at the generosity of the SN massive, really i am, and I applaud everyone of you. I wish there was something i could do. The only thing i can offer is, if Scoobs needs a transfusion, his mum and brother are available, I'm sure they would volunteer themselves if they had voices. My thoughts are with you, and i'll keep checking in to see how he's doing.

They are gorgeous, which is why your lad is so handsome! Doug is probably about the same size as Scooby now, and definately just as daft. He has the same mannerisms too, especially the howling thing.
I dont know if 'I'm back' particularly, i just popped in to see what was going on, and had to post a reply. I might hang around for a while, see if anything has improved.
I have everything crossed for Scoobs, and now that Steve has my IM address, if there's anything i can do and all that.
Oh and on your impending arrival!

Yes, our scooby is handsome, even if he does look dopey half the time
Hmm, that howling thing Sounds like a right mardy **** I have walked him past ASDA in the past when I lived in Wales and had him stay with me for a bit and he jumped out of his skin in fright and went mad barking at his own reflection in the glass! He's a nutter! Bg softie too
If you talk to him and make some odd noises, he responds like he's talking too Often sounds like he says "Hello!"
Thanks, we have just about everything crossed too, just hope he's not going to start bleeding again, been over a week now since his last bleed and he's started getting snotty and bubbling again Steve tried ringing the vets earlier to see if the results of the biopsy are in yet, but there was no answer
And thanks I am excited I bet it has jug-lugs
I hope you do stick around

I phoned the Vets today, and they told me the results can take 7-10 days
I was a bit annoyed tbh as when he was in last week, they told me a couple of days, then when I collected him they told me upto a week for the results, then today they tell me biposy results always take 7-10 days why couldn't they have just said that in the first place
As today was effectively the 7th day, it will no doubt now be early next week, so I will chase them again on Monday morning, as they should at least be able to find out from the labs by then, so we can sort out the remainder of his treatment
He is still ok, but still snotty nosed but clear and really runny, not as thick as it was
the inside of his nose is still white on his left nostril and they still are slightly inflamed, he has started to eat a bit more now, and is looking like he has put a bit of weight back on too
