I hate it when people do that, they tell you one thing when they mean another. Then when you push them on the timescale they get shirty and say it always takes that long.
Which reminds me, I have a paint order to cancel with a certain scoobie garage

I was quite annoyed as that is now the third timescale they have given me, why they just couldnt tell me that in the first place I don't know, would have saved me having a go at the woman today, not her fault I know, but still they all must know how long it takes to get results, and if it is 7-10 days why say a couple of days

I phoned the Vets today, and they told me the results can take 7-10 days
I was a bit annoyed tbh as when he was in last week, they told me a couple of days, then when I collected him they told me upto a week for the results, then today they tell me biposy results always take 7-10 days why couldn't they have just said that in the first place
As today was effectively the 7th day, it will no doubt now be early next week, so I will chase them again on Monday morning, as they should at least be able to find out from the labs by then, so we can sort out the remainder of his treatment
He is still ok, but still snotty nosed but clear and really runny, not as thick as it was
the inside of his nose is still white on his left nostril and they still are slightly inflamed, he has started to eat a bit more now, and is looking like he has put a bit of weight back on too

However, if doggy looks good, and is putting weight on, that's all fab. Your vet sounds terrible.

And how is the boy getting along? I am sure you would have posted if something had gone awry so I take it no more "incidents".
Just need a quick all is well message.
"Standing outside the kennels this morning a spokesperson for Scooby reported........... "
That sort of thing d

No more incidents at the moment
His nose has been runny still, but last night it went back to the thick runny nose that sort of started all of this off, but he is ok again this morning, and still has the odd sneeze so they must be irritating him
I will be chasing up the Vets again tomorrow as we really need his results back now so we continue with his treatment, whatever form that will take

He still looks too thin even thoug he is eating and starting to put weight back on!
He's pretty lively at certain times, yet lies there and can parely raise his head at others, so not too sure how he's feeling TBH
The nose is getting mroe runny again, which I am not liking as I am dreading another bleed and he's snorting and sneezing a lot again, fingers crossed the vets have the results today and we know where we go from here! I am relieved he's not had a bleed for over a week now, but can't settle as I keep almost expecting to come down in the morning and find him in a bloody mess again Until he's treated and fully recovered, I think this tension will just carry on....
Despite everything his tail still wags He's been a right pain making a noise howling a lot over the last few days too And his fur is everywhere
Will update when we know more Thanks everyone

Right
Scooby's results are in
He has, Chronic Rhinitis, I phoned the Vets earlier and they said they still hadn't had the results and will phone me to let me know when they are in, but then they phoned back 5 minutes later to tell me they had just arrived and that Scooby has Chronic Rhinitis
I have to take him to the Consultants on Thursday lunchtime to assess him (his nose is running more and he is back to sneezing and snorting more and more now) to discuss what treatment is available and what the recommendations are

Thanks for update. But all that is telling you is that he has an inflamed nose. Anything with "Itis" on the end just means inflamation. Hopefully they can establish the underlying cause. Perhaps they might want to start by removing the polyps as they bleed very easily. Ask lots of questions on Thursday - I am sure you will
Good luck, dl

Thanks once again everyone
I did some googling last night about Chronic Rhinitis, thanks for the links too, I am hoping they will be able to shed some light on the cause of it, and effective method of treatment, some of the reading I have done, during nasal operations on over 40 dogs, over half of them contracted Chronic Rhinitis afterwards
He is still Sneezing and snorting and still has a runny nose, but there hasn't been any bleeds now for two weeks, I am hoping partially that this is down to the removal of these 'polyp' type things easing some of the pressure in his nasal cavity
He is due in at 12.40 for the consultant, but we are going straight to the hospital after that as Donna is due her 2nd scan so it will be a busy afternoon

What an ugly and embarrasing display of your character, that you would post such a snidey and personal attack on someone at their time of need.
You post on your "alternative" (to say the least) forum with your "friends" with, from what I've been sent, what can only be described as hideously offensive posts making fun of Sonic and DK's situation and this thread - directly insulting all of the people who have attempted to simply help one of their fellow members out in.
This is, as you and your strange cronies will never understand, what COMMUNITY is all about.
Do not come on here and pretend to be all "nice and sweet" with your made up dog names, and username designed to make us think you're someone else.
Its pathetic, and frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself.
If ScoobyNet is so bad, go and stick to your own forum. If you need us so much, just be honest enough to admit it, and maybe people will want to converse with you again.
Your account won't be banned, but you've received an infraction to show that your post is neither clever, nor wanted.
Talk about new lows

Markus, get back in your box. That post was meant as a light hearted **** take of # 169, and nothing else.
Donna, Sonic, I'm sorry if it came across as anything other than that, it wasn't meant to, seriously.
Good luck for tomorrow
