I use to have a Saph cossie 4x4 running 380bhp about 7 years ago and when it was on the road it was great, problem was it wasnt on the road for long before something broke
Got a 320bhp RA now and its the nearest ive found to the thrill of the cossie without the breaking down side

This is a decision not made with the head but with the heart, yes i'l admit the scooby is better than a cossie but how many cars make your heart skip a beat when you look at them like the Escort cossie does??
The Impreza is the sensible option but I am not sure if I want to be sensible

This is exactly my dilemma, the P1 has infinitely better spec and a gorgeous interior compared to th cossie. But there are loads of imprezas out there on the road, I want something a bit different, although if it means lying under it every second weekend I dunno if I can justify it.

I had a 350+bhp saff for over 18months, 3 months of that was driven daily and avery time i drove it,i ragged the **** off it.
Sure i warmed it up and cooled it down religiously but when i came to driving it, it was driven properly.
I loved every second of owning that car, it was built right first time and in 18 months it never ever once skipped a beat.
Awesome car.... for me, a car i'll never ever stop loving.
Its taken me 2 years of modding my STI to attemp to fill those cosworth sized shoes and i think im finally there........
Just!

Having read this thread, I think a more important question is why grown men feel the need to call their cars things like "Cossie" or "Scooby".
It reminds of a guy who walked into a local bike shop a few years back and announced he was trading in the "Suzy" for a "Kwacker"!

It's because there are various cosworths, but the ford ones are 'cossies'. and as for the scoob, how did you find 'scooby'net
I owned a 2wd saff, it drunk oil, things always broke, driveshafts, power steering , engine had been rebuilt, gearbox rebuilt. It was a great car, and I loved it to bits, and it beat all of the 9 scoobs it was up against in a straightline in the dry (the only time I had a play), oh and it took my license once and gave me 12 points another time
Now I've had 5 scoobs,(still got one) and my other half has a P1. I'd prefer the P1 any day, they are more exclusive than a esc cos too (1000 built).
if you can stretch the extra, why not get a 22B???
