Could not agree more, it is about time that laws where changed to reflect this, especially with this sort of case + drugged and drink drivers, there needs to be the right message sent out 4 years, out in two, not bad for killing someone.

i agree, how long will it be before major crims realise the best way to kill is to run people over rather than shoot them as it is an easier way and can be claimed as dangerous driving

If you run someone over intentionally to kill them then it's murder anyway

You're showing your age Dave Kids nowadays can text like it's an extension of their hand texting the girlfriend whilst arguing with a mate and juggling oranges with the other hand - whilst driving a car!

But yes in reality I agree - also studies have shown that it is the fact of having conversations outside the car that is the danger - whether hand held mobile or handsfree - The govt wimped out on banning hands free as 'it would be too difficult to enforce' DUH - well let's give up and change the law on everything else we find difficult to enforce then - drugs, child prostitution, rape, murder, tax evasion...

There is a problem using hand held mobile phones whilst driving, as your concentration is removed from driving, no matter what the road conditions

Dave
Not a ridiculous idea at all tbh, pedestrian lights are far safer than zebra crossings, we have such high level on congestion in towns because there are more cars on the road

People dont think they have to stop for a zebra crossing, re-education will never work, as they still think they have the right of way when on the road

Traffic lights pedestrian crossing instead of the zebra crossing outside our work will reduce the number of deaths and accidents by a significant amount

I was very very lucky last night not to be splattered all over the Childwall Fiveways, anyone who knows this area, knows just how bad it is

yes but have a couple of beers first and you could claim it was an accident. The way the police seem to back the crminals now rather than law abiding ctizens you could probably get away with it.
