Hi All

Thanks for all the replies. Really helps to gauge demand.

It looks like £15 including postage and packaging will be the price.

It's looking really good so far. Hoping to get some special stuff from RB in there (although I'm not sure it'll make this issue), and lots more.

Here's a Q. Depending on how much room there is on the CD's, we may be able to get more than just the technical sections into the archives.

If this is the case...
which would be the favourite forums to include?

Best regards

webby

How about the General topics. There's always plenty of good stuff in there. Serious and not so serious...

Good point...

I forgot to mention...

Pictures will not be included. Instead there will be a picture icon which is a link to the original image stored on the wed at it's original location.

The reasons for this are..
a) space.
b) potential copyright issues.

Cheers

Si,

normal CDs are 650MB, you can get 700MB, but are quite a premium over 650s.

If its off line, maybe in can be zipped?

I must say that £5.00 sounded good to me but having seen how much production costs were I am happy to pay £15.00.
People will always pay for quality but make a product too expensive initially and sales suffer.
Can't wait for the first installment especially if the content has plenty about standard(ish) turbos. I'm too skint now to do any outrageous mods on my MY0
Or any ordinary ones come to that

Simon 2 Discs! I didn't realize that it would be on 2 CD's, so £15 sounds well good for the content you have mentioned.

Maybe include the insurance forums or a list of all insurers who will cover UK spec and Jap spec Scoobs?

The General forum has some very good informative content as well, so I feel it would be a definite choice to be included.

Not having a dig Simon just wondering if I have missed the release of the Scoobynews CD's as you are soon to be sending out the (recent when compared to this) plusmembership packs. I thought that maybe this one had got lost in the post.

Unhappy

Blimey, got all excited when I saw the thread title, then looked at the date
Still if I'd invested my 12 quid on the stock market three years ago it would probably only be worth a fiver now, it's a bit like having premium bonds....one day it could really happen !!

I'm so sorry guys.

Chiark has bravely taken on the mantle of getting this solved. Shaun and I are finalising the membership packs now and they are being sent out this weekend.

After that this really is the top priority, and I think we have a genuine chance of getting this done this time (now we have a proper team on board).

What was a great idea at the time (due all of the support we were offered to get various parts of it done) turned in to the biggest nightmare of all time, when all that support evaporated. I am so impressed with the patience of the people who have hung on waiting for it, and we won't let them down further.

All the best

Simon

Thanks Simon

Nick, (chiark) if you need any help in getting things sorted, I'm more than willing to offer any assistance where I can....

Cheers,

Simon,

Interested at between £4.99 & £9.99 (no one does £5 & £10 in the shops so I thoughtI would follow that trend).
