I wouldn't use one personally as they aren't as effective as a blower or turbo
I would put a turbo on to get more performance but the you have CR issues, these fans can be fitted to an unmoddified standard CR motor for a little more power.
I am in no way advocating using them, I have tried making one work in the past but to no avail, just can't see why people as dismissing the idea when in theory it works

These sort of things have been dyno tested and actually lose you power because they restrict the airflow

Hence you need a bigger fan, a computer fan is restrictive, a proper fan isn't

but but but....

I have just been to their website. They have racing sections and show a picture of a race car.

They even show pictures of the device out of a car and on a test bed, with loads of techno babble.....it draw 14 volts and 60 amps, and it even makes 1 psi of inlet pressure when attached to a 3.2l motor (did not say if it was running )

And it shows its the biggest and most bestest performance mod for my scoobie. Adding a turbo to my car made less difference and a remap only increase performance by 2% where they add soooo much more.

You can even buy a super duppa model that has several of these fans in series for even more POWAAAAAAA!!

Are you sure they don't work?

Have you tried them?

Can you build a forced air induction system?

Can you build an engine?

Have you been building Racing Engines for 24 years?

Do you have an HND in auto design and manufacturing?

If yes to any of the above then you may say they don't work with proof, otherwise I am entitled to my opinion as you are yours, shame yours is wrong

Tuners don't use them as they would stick a turbo on and get more money from you and give you more power.

so what what's this one for then?
I do believe this is a turbo car or am i mistaken?

Please do not take any offence but the fact you have been building engines for 24 years means nothing, its pure sience.. it just doesnt work, the amount of energy required is not realistic, the only way to achieve any kind of positive pressure under load would be to have a boot full of batteries and a fricken MASSIVE stepper motor, as I said it HAS been done but the batteries go flat after 20 minutes and take 16 hours to charge, plus its an extra 150kg almost which pretty much offsets any performance gains..

If these systems worked then real-world tuners would be fitting them by alas they are not! Its the same as those stupid poxy magnets you can put on your fuel lines to 'increase power' its a crock of **** that 1.1 Saxo drivers spend their pocket money on.

Scooby abuser – stop trying to turn this into a pissing contest by spouting meaningless experience and qualifications when you are so clearly talking out of your ***. There are lots of very experienced engineers on here who must be falling about laughing after reading your ‘informed’ opinion!

I suggest that you go to the garage right now and develop your electric fan forced induction system. I’m sure that you alone know much more than the 100 years of collective engine design expertise the world over and will make your fortune from this.

The E-Bay car tuning gimmick sellers need uninformed gullible fools – you seem to fit the bill quite well.

I just had to go and look at the turbonator site.......fpsml. I WAS REALLY interested in the HP calculator and the figures it produces.

_HP Calculator

How much horsepower does your vehicle have? 400

With 10% more horsepower, your vehicle can have 440
With 20 more horsepower, your vehicle can have 420
With 35 more horsepower, your vehicle can have 435

No thats clever ............

**** you dick head, if you read my posts you will see I have used this tpye of induction on an experimental motor I built. I was saying it works in theory IF the fan is big enough.
Do you know one end of a combination spanner from the other? Do you change your own clutches, turbos, can you rebuild an engine?
I was stating the theory is good as it is just the same principle as a turbo or super charger, there are more issues as the fan should have a variable speed control circuit mated to the car's ECU so the fan isn't running flat out all the time, unlike the one on Ebay. So because you haven't used it and got no idea behind the principles I am talking crap then, I am entitled to my opinion and therefore my opinion is YOU ARE A SMALL MINDED MORON WITH THE IQ OF AN ANT

Phuq me I had heard this was a good site but unfotunately most of you seem as thick as ****, just like the pratts on Passionford,
I won't bother relaying any of my 25 years of racing and building race car experience, as you morrons seem to know all things about everything, shame I even wasted my time with you phuqqers

NOBODY IS DENYING THAT!

The problem is you can not realistically power a fan of that size without adding load to the engine that out weighs the performance gains..

In theory you could build a bridge to the USA but its completely pointless!

No body is saying its not a genuine theory but what we are saying is its a waste of time! Do the science, work out how much energy is required to turn the fan to create a big enough CFM to create any kind of pressure when the engine is running, then you need to subtract that load from the output of the engine as that will be what is providing the current, UNLESS you load the boot with cells but then again you need to work out how much energy is required to move the extra weight..

lmao that electronic dump valve made me chuckle, specially this quote from their website

The car used in this video footage was our demo saxo model which only sports a 1.1 engine!! No turbo no frills - not even any power. This engine really gives you a good idea of how the SABER-EDV can enhancethe sound of a standard engine.

Please be aware that the product sounds better in the flesh!! We recommend the video only as a quick sample sound.

phuq me (to coin a phrase) just had a thought..

If you get a Dyson vacuum cleaner... you know the one with the 8 cyclone generators (no loss of suction), just think of the air that mother could suck in! Plus it's got it's own filters HEPA built in! (no **** in ya motor) all you'd need to do is remove the crappy induction stuff you normally find rig up the Dyson somehow... I'll get my wicked engineer mate to do that bit, get a couple of step up transformers attach them to the battery and the car will be hoovering (scuse the pun) white lines up faster than John Lesley on a bender!

Get a sticker for the rear windscreen the says "powered by DYSON" and that'll put the ***** up any chavmobile on the road!

"Nah Black and Decker!
