I'll check the V5 when I get back from New Zealand next week. I believe the car was originally destined for European shores but never made it. I'm 99% sure that it has always worn a Type UK badge and 100% sure that it's had the DCCD from new.
Definitely not JDM as it's single scroll and doesn't have the Orange dials.
So assuming it's a Euro spec car what's it worth with 17k on the clock?

As I'm looking at STi's at the moment, I pulled this off the Glass Guide here valuation thing on the Vauxhall website.
Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type UK
2.0 Petrol 4-door Saloon
6 Speed Manual Four Wheel Drive
Year: 2005 05
Mileage: 20,000
Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £13450
Average condition: £12100
Below average condition: £10750
These are px prices - private sale may be a bit higher. Euro spec may knock a little off. I had a Euro Import but UK spec MY01 and got he same part exchange value for it as I would have a UK sourced car.

Haven't found a low mileage black 05 STI under 15K.
Harmitans car has got to be quite rare being that age, not a WR1 and have DCCD.
However you don't want to price it too close to an 05 because I would prefer a car with the wider rear track and yaw sensors. Start at 14k and see what happens. Don't drop your price too quickly although be prepared to wait.
My classic sold in a week - didn't even have time to get used to the idea it was going!!

Some seriously low prices there, I very much doubt you can get a mint MY05 STi for as cheap as £13450.
Here are some more realistic prices:
Subaru Impreza Saloon 2.0 WRX STi 4d (03) Valuation - Parker's

I've seen a few £15k STi's on Pistonheads with the PPP pack as well.

15K privately with a PPP pack seems reasonable, it was the £13K that was surprising. I still reckon you cant get an 05 as cheap as 13K, maybe a very high miler but not mint. 13K sounds more reasonable for a 53/04 plate earlier version model, i.e. without A-DCCD and wider track etc...

Hi Steve
Looking into Scooby ownership again ??
One of my NHS consultant colleages here in Carlisle chopped in his old bugeye for a hawkeye STi PPP with Ian Armstrong for a very good price
He wasn't looking to change but wanted to spend the money before his wife took it in the Divorce
Warmest wishes
Shaun

Hi Shaun.
The wife wants a new car I've got my company Skoda vRS . It's a toss up between an STi or an RX-8. The choices are limited to something that can carry 4 people. Might call in at Palmers the next time I am visiting Cumbria.
Regards

Hi Steve
There is a darkish metallic grey RX-8 with prodrive stickers tooling around Carlisle......The wheels are slightly darker than the bodywork and looks real Class

Agreed Mike, it probably a euro spec Petter Solberg limited editon.
They came in Red, Blue, with the dccd and black trim, and even Ice blue, although some at Subaru HQ would not agree ....no yours must be silver
Ours is a euro spec but youd never know.....

Hi Steve
I'm selling the house at the moment so I always take an interest in passing traffick ...and a Black RX-8 drove slowly round .....Blimey it was loud !!!
Very loud !!
I'd have thought that a rotary engine would have been pretty quiet..

Steve, after 7 Impreza's I bought an Evo. I miss the flat four burble, and the wet handling isn't as sweet as the Impreza, but I'll be staying with the dark side...

The wife doesn't like Evo's otherwise a MR FQ something or other would have been on the list of potentials as well. After all, it's going to be her car
