Hi All,

Just a quick update:

Letter has been sent to DVLA explaining whats happened and asking them if they'll either give me his address when he sends V5, or ask him to contact me.

Registered on TTS, hopefully some more Darlo lads will keep an eye out

Contacted police, they basically said what I was expecting i.e until he sends V5 theres nothing they can do.

Security situation is pretty much sorted, except I need to change the locks /ignition barrel on my other car.

Thanks everyone for your advice and help!

Did you not go with the tracker idea then? that would have been a better start at least.
Whats the other car that need the locks changing? Over a grand sounds like Fiat and their stupid red key thing.

Yeah mate, rang them but no joy, they said it wasnt active

The other car is a Yaris, that was the quote from the dealer where we got it, there was no chance I was going to pay that, I've got a workaround now

They sell a key programming guide on ebay for a Yaris, so if its for sale on ebay, it means you can find it for free on the net. If its anything like programming a Subaru Sigma fob, it willl stop other programmed keys from working. So you could re-program the key you have, and disconnect the door locks from inside. Then just make sure you use the remote to lock and unlock.
