Yep I can't understand why they can't stick to just one colour... maybe they'll put some red ones up sometimes soon

Because they don't understand how these things are supposed to work!
LOL - I think hutton's answer was better!

I have come to the opinion that it is just not worth the fines or the points to deliberately speed through designated speed limits. Is it really worth losing your licence for?

Maybe it is all the speeders who have frightened them away. As honestly, no joking at all, I've not seen anyone working in months in any of the roadworks I have had to go through

PS, the Channel 4 inbetween progs ad of the BMW 3 series locking up & carving up 3 lanes as it enters a slip road is the best example of roadwork driving ever seen
Did they replace the Mercedes for you?

ps: i stick to the speed limit on the M1 (53 on speedo, 49 on satnav)
countless people whizz past though!!! hope they al get fined lol!!

Back on topic, I used to wonder about this until I got a camera detector with GPS speedo and found that at 50 on the car speedo I was actually doing 46 on the GPS. If I sit on the outside at roadworks with 50 on the GPS I'm doing the same speed as practically everybody else in that lane.

cant belive this is so puzzling to people.....either change lane between cameras or pass the camera with a lorry on your nearside.......of course, you may need to do 90 to catch up with a lorry so you time it right and that can be tricky because of all the people doing 50 that get in the way

How long did it take you to reach your opinion that "it is just not worth the fines or the points to deliberately speed through designated speed limits"?
Personally I don't think it's worth that pain and expense, and possible instant death/painfull death to drive in to imovable objects.
