The 148 or whatever wasn't in the UK to be fair, it was somewhere where they drive on the other side of the road, however the overtaking on double white lines was and I think that he should be done for that.

What a plonker!!!

I can't see why people post such incriminating vids like this, people have always got their comeuppance from the start, like the guy years ago with the F40 doing 2 ton

I don't think that one guy getting caught, and the possibility of prosecution of the recent VXR guy counts as 'Always' there is a thousand videos of cars breaking the speed limit on youtube, it's pretty safe by the laws of chance I'd think..

BTW here is what a member of VXRonline had to say:

So not only you thought you had beaten an STI scoob with your 170bhp Astra you then overtake on chevrons whilst doing well over the speed limit and driving with your fog lights on in clear weather.
You really are clever arent you?

I wonder why young peoples insurance premiums are expensive.

Oh and in "NO WAY" do VXRonline have anything to do with this complete Numpty. We are an enthusiasts club for likeminded people who enjoy their car responsibly.

I don't get people trying to race as such partly as my classic now looks rather agressive with the jun splitter, but just the occasional numpty in his repmobile who thinks his oil burner stands a chance

And i agree with the above comments, nothing i can add that hasn't already been said

With the advent of the summer holidays and teenagers being out on the streets till late, the barrys around here seem intent on driving around like ***** trying to impress the school kids.

Totally agree. The car he overtook simpy happened to be an STI.
Would the fool still be claiming a 'victory' if the STI happened to be something like a Bugatti Veyron instead?

In all probability the STI driver happily watched him go by. Or perhaps he shook his head at such bad driving.

OMG i MEAN WOW, he overtook a car at 60MPH in his dad Vauxhall.

I had a 230 bhp calibra turbo, and its nothing compared to my scoob.

His dads astra must feel like a rocket ship compared to his 1.0 metro though.

Back in st awful now but that was taken when I lived in newquay, combination of rising rent prices and traffic chaos at summer time convinced me to move

Some serious chips on shoulders on this forum, in 5 years of owning my RB5 this can't have happened more than a handfull of times, not everyone going faster than you wants a race ffs! grow up.

Aren't you a lucky boy...

Personally I don't think everybody wants to race me just because I'm driving an Impreza... but I know some people do, it's patently obvious by their on road actions, and I don't mean just driving quickly.

Oddly it rarely notice it in my other car (as it never happens), which coincidently is an Astra SRi Sporthatch.

Lets face it we can all be a bit naughty sometimes but the driving on that video is downright fecking dangerous.

wtf is he trying to prove?

The sad thing is he wont end up killing just himself, he'll end up taking a family of four with him.

absolute bell-end

The time it took him to get to 140mph was a lifetime.

And he reckons he beat the STI....... What a joke!!

Hmm! Perfectly clear road ahead! Ok he crossed a solid white line but the car he passed may have only been going 15mph? He was well within his rights to pass it in that case. Apart from that, the only reason I can see for your vitreous diatribes is the fact he passed a scooby! Don't any of you comment on the top speed run, because I have seen and heard many stories on here over the years, about how fast you have been in your scoobs! Look, he's a young lad in his dads car, no one got hurt, let it lie.
