Anyone who gets the chance, see it. there only a dozen or so shuttle launched left.

It did take us 6 hours to drive back to Orlando though (65 miles )

Well other than Krakatoa, the Saturn V was the loudest thing ever!

Hot damn!!

You know that those yank muppets have lost or destroyed most of the program's designs/data?

Someone was quoted as saying that if they had the Saturn V they would be able to send stuff and people to Mars earlier than what is predicted nowadays, but the R&D costs or re-engineering the monster would be impracticable!

Typical shortsighted NASA lol!

Both pretty good sighting opportunities, when one ends the other starts. Sky here is pretty clear at the moment

That is for Northampton, where are you?
That means they will be coming up from the SW?

Benos should do it, but being a clear nite, you might dispense their use.

Me and the Mrs were outside in the tub ,chilling out and keeping our eyes peeled on the night sky. When low and behold there they were right on time ,just like Gus said, perfect clear skies over Lanarkshire.

Totally awesome and humbling sight... , and as they went out of sight we gave them a wave and wished them well.

Once again, thanks to everyone for the heads up and the co-ordinates etc.

So who else seen them.?

If you search on the NASA site and youtube you can find on-board vedio from the SRBs from launch to spashdown. They take a while to run, but worth it to see what happens.
