The original and still the best looking... spawned a whole new motoring concept:

So much prettier than the blinged up German trucks they make now.

An equally trend-setting vehicle, just to show I'm not anti-German:

That does look good

oh and

another favorite of mine from the 80's

First time i saw one in the flesh was in 80/81 on the backroads around Woburn Sands, It was a white one. We were in a Newish BMW 323i (not many about back then) the M1 came up behind us so had a good look, spotted the number plate - RB1 then realised the driver was Richard Burton. That was a good day!

I love the Pantera (featured earlier) and also the Maserati Bora. Droolworthy and relatively unknown now. I hope RobinSherwood won't mind me posting a picture of his (from a maser thread in other marques).

Talking of forgotten... vauxhall sold 800,000 odd of these during the 80s, a real bestseller. 6,000 left now.

My Brother has two 'A' Series Mantas.. One of which is exactly that colour, the other has exactly those wheels!

Great cars, and far superior to drive than the Ford Crapi.. sorry.. Capri. The only reason they put such big engines in the ford was to stop the flying wing from understeering in any corner attempted at over 20mph.

Nah - 850 T5 has to be the Estate. Although isn't that a 90's car?

I still love the story about how volvo tested the estate and the saloon for aerodynamics and speed for BTCC, found them the same, so used the estate because it had more room for adverts.

Early 90's but in the period where there was no real difference!

Just outside the age range as they only made Sunbeam Tigers between 1965-67, but here's what happens when you take a Sunbeam Alpine and shove a Ford Mustang engine into it.
