Andy, the walk is about 1 hour at our pace, most take 1 1/2 to 2 hours if strolling or have kids. No route required, you can't go wrong. Turning left out of the Red Lion car park heading upstream, keep following the path 'til it runs out at The Hebdon Bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left to keep going upstream until you get to Linton Falls. Turn right up the hill to the Grassington car park and left out of the CP along the main road for 50yds until turning right into the main village. Eat, drink and be merry until repeating the above in reverse, except the eating as that would be disgusting. And the reverse of merry is no fun. Don't bother with the reverse of drinking either, not good and much better to do the natural extension of drinking (ladies, do this before leaving Grassington unless you want to squat in a nettle patch covered in cow poo).

Stevey, yup directly north of Skipton. Turn off the A59 to go to Bolton Abbey and keep going until you drop into the opening scene from 'old' Emmerdale.
