Woohoo. Car flew through the MOT today. The only thing on the advisory was that they couldn't test one of the rear seat belts for the fact I have the little'uns Recaro seat in the back. 13 months on new MOT.

Got bloody pulled in st Austell today up by council office they were doin random check thingy, did me for numberplate not spaced proply and my exaust wich was 108 over 76 I think they sed wat a bummer

They probably pulled you for your number plate more than the exhaust !

What exhaust system you got to make 108db ?

Our APS 3" measured 96db at 5500rpm

 

Stock TVR's are 102db

 

I managed 138 db at Donnington one day..that was pretty loud...

What a joke though nowt better to do?! If its Mot and insured why should it matter?
Its hardly doing any harm is it? I would wonder how loud sirens are? or a barking dog or a passing helicopter.
Loud exhaust=Owners choice IMHO

Anyhow someone wanna bargain the Murtaya is on ebay no reserve

The db on a tvr is from the big v8 block not the exaust my mate got a chimaria thinks that's how ya spell it, and mines alot louder than that and that's a monster

 

I had to rev it up to 6k aswell, I don't even drive it at that wen am flat owt, I shud of asked for sum petrol money :-)

 

They didnt check for emissions then aswell?
