Ah. Your particular model code could actually be either a WRX or an STI version 1 - the only year the STI was built by taking a production WRX off the line and modifying it, rather than being built as a model (with a different model code) in its own right. The transmission is the same for both cars too.
However...
Your engine code is for an STI
So, you have there a WRX STI version 1, rated at 250 PS (about 245bhp), with an engine hand built at the STI factory.
